I'd be interested to hear if creativex has reconsidered using a fraction of the reinvestment fund as part of a hedging/investment portfolio.

I'd consider re-opening a position in AM-PT shares at these levels with a portion of our fund. There are no other investments that have both the liquidity and track record. Also, as before, I like the unique situation with AM-PT which requires us to trust only one more person...friedcat.

Thoughts? Concerns?

Am is good investment at current levels, at least short term (up to one month), in my opinion

Edit: although, as I look at the prices, window of opportunity has been closed. Friedcat released news about new usb miners and price has skyrocketed

Hi JimiQ84. This is just a short term spike after an extended downtrend. The real reason to buy into AM is IMO management's proven ability to deliver results. New sales of USB miners will result in boosted dividends.

ultimately it's up to you. I am AM shareholder (larger than BM shareholder), so my personal opinion is clear (go, AM!  Grin )

I think AM will deliver juicy dividends any week now, too.

personally I would think to put a small amount into the new IPO's. it wont hurt saying you are a shareholder when they release the tin.

Hi TMAN. Which IPOs do you suggest? LC & ACTM I presume? Any others? Any investments in these would be very small.

Cheers.

**Announcement**

I've taken a small position in ASICMiner-PT(25) & Labcoin(5000). These positions can be confirmed via bASIC-Mining's public portfolio located here:

At what cost basis?  Will you continue to purchase additional shares?  I am totally fine with this, but I hold BASIC primarily to diversify my holdings:  do you anticipate further additional purchases?

Prices paid were 3.097725 & 0.00330825 including fees. We're slightly ahead on one and slightly behind on the other. Though with the speed at which these things change hands I'm not too worried. With all the speculators and short term traders we should probably be investing in the exchange itself.

Cheers.

Hi Rebelution. I understand, and I'm not generally a huge fan of this kind of thing as I'd rather be purchasing more mining hardware. However, the landscape is changing too fast ATM to commit to anything we cannot readily undo. I would consider adding more AM-PT on weakness if the latest uptick doesn't hold, but I don't want to get into a position that will be difficult to liquidate quickly if/when a hardware purchase makes sense.

Cheers.

*sigh* disagree with this because I have better positions and trades on AM-PT and Labcoin already

w/ labcoin had a cost basis of .00155 that took a while to get, and sold half the position at .0036

used that half to add into AM-PT at a 2.70

so....

yeh

whatever

can we not do this?

is this just to boost the avg weekly dividends?

Hi stslimited. While I understand your perspective, this capital is not doing anything for us at this time and will provide us with a small boost to our daily dividends with very little associated risk while the available hardware options become more clear.

Cheers.

Why was there a shareholder vote for the last time you wished to invest in stocks but none this time?

I understand the speed at which things move here, but I would have definitely have liked to vote no on this one

my company can manage capital

Hi FloatesMcgoates. The motion to which you refer was worded in an open ended way and passed by a solid majority(72.8%). The motion itself refers specifically to AM-PT and as such did not grant me the authority to purchase LC. Though frankly we're talking about 16.54125BTC, 1.91% of our reserve capital, or .129% of bASIC-MINING's value.

I apologize for upsetting you guys, but I know from experience that a solid number of shareholders get antsy when we're not deploying idle capital and this is, IMO, a relatively safe and effective use of a small portion of our funds. I'm just trying to strike a balance here while we await the coming flurry of hardware deliveries and hopefully shorter lead times as well as more reasonable prices.

Cheers.
