Hello everyone,

I also installed hodlcoin wallet a while ago, processed all the data and even did some mining for several days.
Then the wallet was not syncing. I had mining opened for several days and I think because Hodlcoin is not so popular, that should bring something.
But now the wallet is just not syncing.
So I thought the coin is dead, but I was shown this thread so decided to write here
HODL it's still listed on Coinmarketcap and even the price rose last time
I discovered this coin because of funny name, and interesting conception of giving good interest for Hodling

May be somebody had similar problem with wallet as me? And what do you think is it profitable to mine Hodl with laptop now?

The DB size grew to >4GB which it was not prepared for.

Originally, I set up this mining pool when there was no pool available as due to the forced locking of coins for 1 year. This is no longer true and there are alternative pools again. As I do not have the time that would be required to run and monitor the pool at a professional service level, I do not intend to bring the pool back up.

I will work on restoring the DB and paying out the outstanding balances in the next weeks.

As I noticed that there seems to be only one hodl mining pool alive, I might bring up my pool again. But it first requires some changes to the mining and database.

and shares are barely accepted, (on suprnova there are a lot more) something is weird

1) Depends on CPU model. You need CPU with AES-NI support to mine at some sensible hashrate( Intel core CPU or AMD FX )
2) I think actual interest bonuses are 5 to 10%
