With today's announcement that Alphabay will accept ZEC as payment it will most likely pump. However it seems like it will see some correction now as the altcoin bubble may have burst. There's plenty of time till July 1st, but I think I'll start saving up my ZEC if price falls down a bit more.

The coin had an unexpected rally doubling their valuation in a short trading time but they could not sustain the rally for a longer time and that looked like a pump and dump even for a moment unless i heard some companies are tying up with them to create better solution,with the price of bitcoin still rallying we need to monitor when the next rally will be.

ZCash is Zcash which has a ticker of ZEC. Nothing has changed since the beginning. But there are other coins that followed based on Zcash.

with 20% founders reward, new untested crypto, and weird tweets by zooko claiming they can unmask anyone who tries to use zcash for ransomware makes me wonder if he's just talking shit or if being based in the U.S. they were forced to put in a backdoor. I mine it and sell it for XMR, which has it's issues too but for privacy coins seems to be the best of the bunch. Zcash also has alot more coins to be mined so demand will need to keep up with inflation. Since my GPU rigs are more profitable mining zcash I'd like to believe in it long term but I have too many reservations so I'm betting on XMR for now.

Think so, but there was no public ICO only special people were selected to invest and they get 20% or whatever of all coins mined..I would have like to have seen a way to have the public get a chance to invest in it's development but that's not how it was done. The 20% of mining rewards is supposed to prevent early investors from being able to dump their coins all at once, which is a unique feature, still without letting the public participate it doesn't thrill me knowing a small group of selected people get 20% of coins mined.
