It's not really clear for me what's requested do propose yourself as a delegate, what kind of date the delegate should release about himself?
Splatter i think doing something community based with the Delegate funds is something that will get you votes, Im trying to make people vote for me by using the funds for a faucet 100% and also for promoting lisk in The Netherlands Like at amsterdam's bitcoin meeting etc. yes I saw your post in the main forum! I see thanks Hope you vote some for me aswell Yes, but send me some muffin from Amsterdam

So far I have following BCT forum people on my voting list:
PunkRock, Emerge, cannabanana, bigcabrito, nextgencrypto, cc001, bitseedmike, TheRedHawk, Splatters, Mrboot
Who else? Who wants my vote and will give me their vote?
I ran a Crypti node for $5/month at Vultr.com for many months and plan to start running a Lisk node next month, again at Vultr.

Your involvement already shown you would be a good delegate, so you have my vote. Is there some kind of tutorial to setup a Lisknode at Vultr? I am interested in learning/ contributing by being a delegate if needed.

One thing if we are discussing delegates. We shouldn't really promote any one cloud service that's good for running delegates. It would be best for Lisk if the delegates would use as many different services as possible. If someone recommends X provider here and half of the delegates end up using that provider that would make Lisk much more vulnerable than if everyone found their own solution.

I agree on that if about 50 of the 101 are on vultr network that wont be beneficial, although they can have diffrent locations.

Why not, I'm throwing my hat in the ring for delegate voting. I also agree to share a percentage towards the community(faucets, giveaways, pr...)

If you are not quite sure what makes a good long term delegate for Lisk, I'd recommend talking to the guys over at BitShares. As the creators of DPOS, their community learned a lot of lessons along the way.

If it seems impossible, then you do not understand the DPoS delegate system. Anybody can set up a Lisk node once they pay the 100 Lisk registration fee. This includes you. Once your node is set up, it joins a pool of Standby Delegates. This Standby Delegate pool can have 10,000 nodes by 10,000 people. This includes you. The 101 Standby Delegates who receive the most votes from others are promoted to Active Delegate. The number of votes you can cast depends on the number of Lisk you have. People with lots of Lisk have lots of votes. The 101 Active Delegates begin to forge Lisk blocks every ten seconds and add these blocks to the Lisk blockchain. Block adding is done in a cooperative manner by "going in a circle". Your Active Delegate will be called upon to add a block when your turn comes about once every 17 minutes. Lisk will start with 101 Lisk Foundation nodes run by Oliver. As more and more community members become Active Delegates, they will replace the Lisk Foundation nodes one-by-one until only community nodes are running. If you contribute a lot at this forum with good posts and good ideas and good words, you will gain the trust of others, and their votes. So if you want to become an Active Delegate, start contributing!

I was thinking the same. It's to risky having several delegates in a centralized server. 50/101 on Vultr would be soooo risky for my taste. Maybe ~20... But, I simply prefer almost 100% decentralized delegates. TRH

Guys let's talk dapps. Those are the products that can make Lisk jump over and above all other cryptos.
I was thinking about games, mobile games to be specific. Which kind of games would be made better due to them being a dapp instead of an app? The mobile gaming market is trilion dollar industry with their micro payments. If we can tap into that then a billion dollar market cap will be a breeze...

People should speak up with other host suggestions. The best situation is for Lisk to be running on 101 standardized-setup Raspberry Pi 2s, owned by 101 individual people all over the world, connected to that person's home ISP. The problem is that many home ISPs have slow latency. This is different from bandwidth. Coordinating 101 Lisk nodes in a ten second blocktime doesn't require high bandwidth, it requires low latency. http://www.dslreports.com/faq/694http://www.speedtest.net/articles/what-is-ping-what-is-latency/IMHO, Oliver needs to publish some latency standards ASAP that an Active Delegate must meet before we get a lot of disappointed people that are planning to run a Lisk node from their home, but can't.(This is of course in addition to the other 10,000 things Oliver needs to do ASAP )

I'm curious on this. Are there some way to ckeck this latency? If we can't run a "homemade" node because of this fact, maybe we have to go deep in a cloud solution and, altough you can split the risk between several providers, it's still dangerous for the lisk blockchain. TRH
