You know the problem of a release date? Do not provide one if you cannot make it happen! Just do not say when you are releasing it... however it is now too late for that. For all I know it could be released even later, 'oops unexpected things happened'. That should be calculated in the release date.

I don´t see any problem. They just want more time to deliver a perfect working product. That is good for all investors imo.

The fact is that this delay is hurting US, the investors. There are a few points about the delay that were not handled professionally.
First, making an announcement 5-6 days ago that the release date would be announced today is childish. I am sure the devs knew at that point they needed to delay and should have made the announcement at that time.
Secondly, 1 delay for unforeseen problems is expected but needing 2 separate 1 month delays shows that the team wasn't ready when the ICO was started and the ICO should have been delayed. What is happening because of the multiple delays is that people will both lose interest and lose patience, which directly affects the investors but not the team. Remember that the ICO value has increased 10+% with the bitcoin value increase while our LISK certainly has not increased in value with 2 lengthy delays and I would bet it has devalued considerably.

https://blog.lisk.io/official-lisk-release-2efac0ea3b3#.z4rvrlje3The Lisk release will be on May the 24th, 2016.To make the wait for our community more comfortable, we will be much more open from now on. That means, we show you our internal roadmap until release date. start our bi-weekly community meetings. publish weekly summarises of what we achieved in the past week. push out more regular blog posts. However, the long wait is not for nothing. You will be blessed with a faster, more secure, more robust, and more feature-rich Lisk. Now, we can reflect on our transparency and work on our openness. It also gives us enough time to prepare important documents, more guides and handbooks, new bounties, and to get more exchanges list Lisk at launch day. Thank you very much for your patience. Kind regards, Max Kordek, CEO of Lisk

I do agree with you on the first part. There were many better ways to handle this situation. I don't agree that this will be a negative. If you want to think of it in terms of bitcoin price moving the price of lisk. My money is that in a month the price of Bitcoin is down.

Delaying the release date for upgrading security issues is basically a good thing, preventing major issues with the client post release which will be catastrophic. However this whole thing could have easily be handled better with greater transparency eliminating all doubts

LOL. Another delay!
5 days ago dev announced that april 24 he announced lisk date release for april end. Yesterday he wrote that the announcement was made in the middle of the night.
At the end, the announcement was "another delay"
SO UNPROFESSIONAL!
He already knew yesterday or 5 days ago that another delay shoud happen, why just not tell us before?
Lot of investors have lose interest. Good luck.

It's quite unreasonable to expect perfect results in every step of the way. Max has done an excellent job in staying honest and providing as much clarity as possible. Also, stating that we knew 5-6 days ago that it was going to get delayed is a BIG assumption. The internal testing was going great, until.... it didn't. The final tests proved to be the threshold; final tests were yesterday. Oliver gave it his all, pouring 12+ hours daily in trying to get it ready for today's announcement, but there wasn't enough hours in a day to provide the fix.

now we have a date. and we will see if they really do what they promise. To make the wait for our community more comfortable, we will be much more open from now on. That means, we - show you our internal roadmap until release date.
- start our bi-weekly community meetings.
- publish weekly summarises of what we achieved in the past week.
- push out more regular blog posts.
if they don't do that there will be a lot of complaints. and and other problem is, that this topic will be messier than ever until release.

I'm for one actually very happy that the team decided that it is more important to have a stable, secure and well functioning product than to please some of the ICO investors.
Face it, if you invest in a kickstarter campaign there are almost always delays as well. Fast delivery promises only help to raise more funds.
At this moment lets just be happy that your coins will be on a secure and stable network when it is released.

Probably they expected they could fix the problem in these days but as the days progress saw it wouldnt get done. And decided to delay the release because of this. I rather have a good release then I bad on that is right on time.

That's a good date. It will be after BTC already reaches 650-700 so you won't have to worry about BTC price dragging down lisk price as BTC rises Very clever.

Rather a later launch than a total disaster if the network had collapsed. Glad the devs caught the network limitation and are addressing the problems. I guess we will have to be patient and hold out another month, more time for testing and verification.

I totally agree, the delegates can even test their servers more and stresstest. We only had one which went wrong so it's better we have more time.
