Berlin office adventure lasts too long, office is not so important as other stuff on Lisk :/

Office is extremely important and that's why we are putting so many resourcing into this at this moment. Moving to another city (and for Oliver even country!), finding a flat, dealing with the public authorities, finding an office, and so on takes time. During all the time our team is working on 0.4.0 which will resolve many problems which are existing today.





Would be great if you guys can upvote the new definition of Lisk at urbandictionary, please note that this is several months old. So still "decentralized app" and there is a typo. Better than nothing, feel free to submit a better description.

I would suggest you take no notice of some of the ridiculously ignorant posts on here, like the one you've responded to. When you're moving to a new city and setting up an office, there are hundreds of things to take care of. Without a proper base to work from it's impossible to achieve the team dynamics and synergies needed to be productive.

It's time for LISK to replace ETH now.  Once the hard f**k is complete there will be about 11 million ether on the free market again.  That's about 14% of the supply which was locked up suddenly being available on the market again. 

There's likely to be a big exit and self-feeding spiral of falling ether prices and panic selling. 

LISK should really capitalise on this opportunity as much as possible with a marketing blitz and the team highlighting why LISK may be less likely to suffer the same kind of problems due to the use of side-chains.

Timing is very good here indeed. Lisk resisted all selling pressure well and all dips were bought actively .At the same time Etheruim is on the verge of possible another  downtrend.
Plus there were nice profits generated from other alts what recently have skyrocketed-free Bitcoins will be looking for new harbour and Lisk fits that perfectly.

Why is there a need to increase the amount of full time paid developers? How many people are working on Lisk at the moment? And I think development can still continue without a formal office for the time being. People can always collaborate around the world using github, video chat software, slack, etc. This a new age of start ups. Offices are just for formalities sake.

I've started digging into the structure and setup for lisk. Things are getting done in Germany. It looks like they have a solid month of bootstrapping work ahead of themselves. I would prefer a different jurisdiction such as Zug, but I suppose Berlin is as good as any.

I made introducing in Ukraine to several development teams that are very solid. It's a bit soon for Max and Oliver to start hiring until they have finished the latest release, gotten access to the trust funds and also finished the roadmap.

Thank you for the update although it isn't that much. Everything is wait and see but who said crypto development can be hurried. It is just different when you have money on the line. People get very anxious even if it's only a small amount. The smaller the amount invested the bigger whiner they are. There is a correlation maybe someone should make a study.

I'm as frustrated as you are, but let's be productive about it. There are three things that need to be done ASAP. The next lisk release, getting access to the trust funds and the roadmap. Hold Max and Oliver accountable to these milestones and then move on to the next set. I'll do what I can as an advisor

We are all waiting on the lisk team to get to their new office and get their non profit organisation approved. Things will speed up after that because after this they will have acces to the ico funds and can really hire more people to help out.
