It's almost comical.  One single entity pads the order book making the buy side go from 7000 to 12,000 BTC in 1 second hoping it will attract momentum traders he can dump on as he slowly manipulates it upwards.  He knows full well that there will be a cataclysmic Eth dump from the DAO on May 28.  $130 million in funds that were locked up, denominated in Ethereum to invest in the DAO, which people now know the DAO is an awful investment:

Right at the same time the DAO dumps, and Eth by proxy since the DAO is denominated in Eth, the BTC triangle converges upward within the same day.  So the only question is, since the single entity manipulating Eth knows it's going to be dump city come May 28th, and knows everyone else knows this, when does he decide to pull the rug out from under you?  Will he wait a few days, or could it come any second?

My guess is Smooth seems to believe in enforcing ethics and creating a community for Monero. I think this is where the boundaries get blurred. It is not that smooth is incorrect in his logic. But there are different perspectives and feelings in play. And different vested interests and all valid from their own right. I think perhaps we just need to admit the altcoin arena is a Wild West that doesnt want a Sheriff.

Any way, he is free to do it his way. Smooth has very little influence over me. He has influence over me in terms of explaining realities in the altcoin scene that I wasn't focused on. But I also work through the logic on my own and eventually perhaps come to a different perspective over time.

For the 100th time, this thread is about Eth and the DAO.  When you seem this desperate to change the subject away from what the thread is about, something is wrong.  I have absolutely nothing to do with Bitshares.  The only involvement I've ever had is buying some at 1400 satoshi before the price went to 3500 satoshi.
