I don't know for fact if it's lotto or sports betting winners selling I hope when the next sites launch Rubies the price rockets so those who sold at 4k feel like poop.   Grin

And hope they cut supply off because degen.

Regarding the bolded part maybe I'm missing something: may you please address me to bookmakers acceptin rubies betting?

This is an option under consideration but no real decision has been taken yet. As such it may materialize in the future or it may not. We are investigating a number of options to expand the BetterBets site.

Yeah, heard about your eventual projects on slack channel but was asking to Game_Seller because he was writing about "sport betting winners" selling their rubies and causing rubies market price to go down and so I thought I missed some rubies business going on.

Am I?
so this is the reason why the prices is going down but i think dev still have many things to pump it up again so as a believer of this coin I'll still hold it and I can still use it in betting hehehe but kidding aside we should think in a positive ways dev always there for us. good luck

Rubies is not a pump and dump coin. We're here for the long term and prefer slow, steady & natural evolution to a quick pump followed by a massive collapse. The current price movement is not what we want to see, but it's all part the normal evolution of a coin. We've only been here for a month, give it some time and be patient.

Yes that is applicable for majority of the successful coins so far. Look at monero, litecoins' history. They were also dumped heavily at some point of time but the developers and the growing community kept it alive.

My feelings are the same Rubies though is in the community hands now people are forgetful.  You know devs gave all their btc income and rely on rubies for income now. This was a ballsy move and bjorn said in slack it makes them work even harder for long life of rbies.

I totally agree with the dev if a particular altcoin had a business to back his coin there is nothing to worry if other altcoins with no existing business model to back them up are succeeding why not Rubies, this thing is normal even bitcoin sometimes suffer we should still back them up

That's the #1 thing to remember.  Rubies is business backed.  Not many in crypto can say that.  I would much rather put my money behind a project like this than vaporware coins.  We just need to be patient (for fuck sake its only a little over a month old), and the strong will be rewarded.

Thank you for your faith. One more factor to consider is that we (the Rubies team) are basically married to the coin in terms of income. Stakeholders receive the bulk of the site's BTC income and if Rubies does not do well, we'll feel the pain directly ourselves. So we have all the motivation in the world to make Rubies the most successful we can.

I just have a suggestion I see your team likes collaboration with other coin and developers maybe look Into adding some other coins to your businesses. I think like rubies that voxels has good business behind it and would be good addition.

Hello, this suggestion is being thought over and any community input on this is welcome on this thread as well. Thank you for the suggestions and Rubies support.

-Bjorn

Bjorn i know you trying to get the best coin distribution but you should reduce some of the prizes. These degens tend to just dump and aren't helping those of us who trade heavily. May be a good time to buy coins but the sell pressure is harsh right now. Just my 2 cents.

its not about that,, because betterbets distribute rubies 1000 rubies for each account at first time..even me who has account there and only have wager less than 1 btc got 1005 rubies on my balance..

i think after 1-2 months the price will be stabilized again..

The distribution was varied based on how much you wagered in the past year some only got 10 coins. You really think the generosity is not too much? They payout huge prizes just look at the lotto winner today he won almost 1500 coins and cries poor in chat 24/7. These are the ones who are dumping. I don't mind cheap Rubies but perhaps some limitations while the market is still young. We need a bigger exchange bittrex and poloniex have added coins since rubies that had a lot less going for them wtf is the deal?

does selling 1000 rubies mean dumping? cmon look at the history of c-cex...i dont know where the coin come from,,lottery only been up for 9 days and < 10k and also not all the lottery winner instantly sold their coin..is there a fact that the winner sell it?

The problem is, most bettors on betterbets aren't interested in a new currency.  When I got the initial rubies I instantly sold them.  When I bet and get "bet-mined" rubies, I transfer them to an exchange and sell them.  It's what I have to do because I have no interest in them and BB took away the weekly cashback % in favor of the bet-mining.  If you don't want people to sell rubies, you have to only give them to the people who are interested in having them.

You didn't think to yourself hey maybe these have more value in the future?

No, because the converse is also a possibility.

Anyway, I feel like you missed the point of my post which is that if BB stops giving rubies to players who don't want them, the price will probably go up because there will be far less people selling them.

We're monitoring the situation and we're pretty sure that most winners have not dumped their coins onto the markets. Even if they did, total winnings from the raffle amount to about 8K coins so far, clearly more than that were sold. We're subject to the market like everybody else and we'll just have to bear it. Like I said before, we're in this for the long haul and have a solid business plan; people dumping their coins now may be sorry a few months from now. For what it's worth, we're all holding our coins and stakeholders are doing the same.

Site is back up, for now though only for BTC betting. RBIES will be re-enabled once we complete analysis of our log files and verify data integrity. Thank you for your understanding.

Review of our code and logs is proceeding nicely; we expect to restore full functionality within 24 hours. We appreciate your understanding in the meantime.

Accumulate....that's the idea.  I just added a little to the buy support.  Wouldn't mind picking up a few K at these levels.

I hope sports betting becomes a reality, because that's what i would use my rubies for  Grin

Right, but I'm not talking about the lottery (since at this point people are overpaying for what the rubies are worth so the lottery actually strengthens the rubies price), I'm talking about bet mining.  Because you took away the weekly cashback rewards system in favor of global bet mining, players such as myself who aren't interested in rubies have no option other than to take what we accumulate during our session and sell them on a market.  If you allowed the option between bet mining and weekly cash back, you'd have less people dumping what they mined which I'd assume would help the price (as there would be less supply with the same amount of demand).

They can't if you read OP the BB team doesn't have the income from bitcoin to fund a cashback with stakeholders. Bet-mining then dumping isn't an issue either unless you are doing 4000 btc volumes weekly. You can always give your rbies to me  Wink

This one is one of many example that rbies are still strong and have many future development. owner or developer are working overtime they knew that this things is just part of a normal movement of a traded coin. I believe that rbies are here and existing! Good vibes dev.

Yeah I think this is the right to do now if you've been on altcoins for quite some time you'll know what coins are likely to succeed and what are not and I don't think Rubies id one of them the low price is your big opportunity to get more of it a lower price you'll not going to regret in the end..
