XVG sure is taking a beating along with the rise in Bitcoin price -- but I am holding!

Well, XVG price isn't dropping when BTC is rising. XVG is still about 0.5c, like it has for a while. Only the value in relation to BTC is dropping. This isn't really a bad thing. Now BTC Holders may start buying XVG as it's so "cheap" compared to BTC. This would raise the XVG-BTC value, and if BTC value stays the same, it means XVG-USD value will rise.

It has potential if the Devs keep at it. I am still mining full force ~22k coins a day.

Can you tell me what graphic card are you guys using. Is it possible to mine XVG on a I5 pc with 8gb ram.. There are so many graphic card models. I was thinking of buying gtx 1070

I also have some XVGs left here which I bought at a month or 2 ago. I will consider buying again but after this coming hard fork. This Bitcoin Gold fork is the main reason why altcoins are in blood bath.

XVG seems to be one of the many victims of the bitcoin gold fork in 2 days time, I think we will see a reversal in the price trend in the next few days, now is definitely time to hold and even double down if you can.

So let us say the price goes up to $1, the market cap becomes 14B and that is twice the market cap of Ripple.
I have a large position of XVG, but  I donot see it hitting $1 mark anytime soon, maybe 3-5 years and that is a MAYBE

I agree $1 is far too much for any time soon, let's not forget that verge is under 1 cent at the moment, $1 is really quite a big leap, 10c is probably about the most we can hope for in the 6 months or so.

The IP addresses of the users are also kept private during transactions. Transaction speeds are ultra-fast compared to other crypto and the average transaction time is of 5 seconds.
Within 2-3 years, you can expect it's price to be above 0.05$ for sure as this project has alot of potential.

thats low for 1070. I get 10.70 - 11 MH/s on mine. you need to overclock it. I use MSI Afterburner and set the following

power 77%
core clock +175
memory clock -50
fan speed 65

my temp stays around 65 degrees but my speed stays steady between those numbers.
