^ Max win is now set to 1% of the house bankroll.

Currently 7.57 Bitcoin Max (still quite large), but now large jackpot style wins above this amount are no longer possible at the moment.

So you mean that we cant mo longer win huge amount? So how about if accidentally someone win huge smount? Lets say it is 8btc? Will they get their payout? Some of your apps that offer 20btc, if I not mistake minesweeper game which offer that amount. I dont know if they already set to this limit or not

No one can win more than 1% of the bankroll. Bets attempting to win >1% of the bankroll are denied by MP.

This move may help to get investors some profit in the longer run but it is not so good for those big whales. Don't know how it is going affect business in the near future but having such limits will help all investors.

Whales aren't really affected much. Rarely anyone bets more than 7 Bitcoin at a time.  The restrictions are set more so for very large (more than a million to one) payouts risking much less bitcoin.

I'm not an investor, but I just don't see how offering massive jackpots is a good idea for the investors/MP.  Yeah you have an edge but the short term variance is just way way too large.  The goal should be to get a lot of people betting modest sums at reasonable (1.5x-5x) odds where your house edge can just compound on itself and you print money.  Not having people bet dust with a chance of cleaning out the bankroll.

If you want to offer a jackpot, you should do it the smart way and have it be player funded.  Just have every wager over a certain amount (like, say, .0001BTC) have a tiny amount (like, say, .000001BTC) taken out of it and put into a global fund...and then if you roll under/over a raw outcome (have it be a 1-in-1000000 or 1-in-2000000 chance), you win the entire pool and it starts over again.  Obv you can tweek those numbers to be whatever you want, but by having the players fund it first you get all the benefits (promotional) of having a jackpot with none of the risks.  And it's actually better for the players because a tiny % of their bet is house edge-free, so they actually have higher equity (although it's very small).  Win-win.

Im also unsure of dogedigitals statement of taking steps to limit variance for investors? What does this mean in more detail please. No im not going all crazy on the team i just would like a better explanation if possible.

It is nothing. Helix just like to argue with anyone. I even saw the post before this, he is disagreeing with other people. He has his own set of mindset and maybe he is blinded by his 'richness' to be such a stubborn person.

I liked the fact that there were jackpots and now that they're pretty much taken away I'm feeling exactly the same. Trust me the not winning part has happened to me a plenty of times, often causing exactly what you described.

The issue isn't jackpots, the issue is a single bet being able to wipe a significant part of the BR. All that does is increase investor risk, without affecting player risk. A 1% max win is on par with most sites (some only allow 0.25-0.5%) as far as I'm aware.

I find that there is another, very similar to MoneyPot project being developed right now called https://betbase.io/
They offer scripts, bankroll and tools needed to open and maintaining you own cryptocurrency casino, I think they can be called MoneyPot 2.0
What do you guys think, should MoneyPot be worried?

This is just beginning for them, they literally just announced their plan, to found this project BetBase is planning to release ICO.
With crowdfunded money their bankroll might become huge - it all depends on popularity of the ICO.

That means founder is not investing anything on this project? Do they rely on public fundings? If that is true then I advice don't invest because if the owner doesn't have his investment in bankroll then they may not take business seriously and an investor may even get cheated.

What if it's just general discussion and not out of context? I understand what the user above said was pretty much advertising though but in general I'm sure there's loads of cases where other sites could be mentioned as a part of the discussion.

The user above could have made a gambling discussion thread instead.
