Long time ago there were a few claimers and they made thousands XRB a day :O really lucky who hold these thousands now. Ppl who bought at 1k sato should be also happy

I've been claiming since first quarter of 2017 and my target was 1000 XRB per day. Then i stopped and sold all of my XRB in the last week of May when XRB is worth 1000 sats. SAD

woah... for my part I was late to the faucet (when I was with audio) I only managed to claim 79 xrb and the most ironic thing that I lost everything in the casino.

Luck has nothing to do with it.  The largest gains can be made by buying projects when they're cheap and holding long term (however long that takes) until it rises to the price you think that it should.

Yeah I have to agree, it has nothing to do with luck, as cliche as this sounds but it all depends on you. In order for one to be successful and to eventually get rich, you need to do something about it and that's researching about the project first before investing, you need to understand the project and actually believe in the project for you to go far, like before a lot of people on here were just taking part of this project because they can get it for free but not because they actually believe on the project, most of the people that were complaining about the faucet before aren't even here anymore, after the distribution ended they all disappeared and that says a lot about the community back then, most of the people who are just here for the free money ended up selling all of their coins back then because they didn't see the potential of this project, all they can see is the money that they can get at that current moment so fast forward to today if you've notice there's a huge improvement on the community, this thread is now filled with members who actually contributes to the project and not just here to spread FUD or to spread hate on the devs, there's also no more newbies talking bad about the project, so if you've think about it those people who are here because of the potential of the project are the ones benefiting from the current price growth. So moral of the story if you think that a project really has a potential and it can go along way then invest on it during its early stages and as what @SparkyU says, hold and hold until you think it's value is proportionate to its market price.

Sometimes it's pure luck to be in the right place at the right moment (e.g. be an early crypto adopter). Some ppl heard about BTC and started mining it using CPU and so on What is really challenging - see the potential and do not sell undervalued thing too early! XRB is a true gem!

I hope i can find a new coin that is almost the same with raiblocks.

XRB was really special since the claiming/ faucet could be completed from everyone to anytime. And was especially in the beginning more than fair. Will get quite hard to find a coin with such a unique "mining" model

IOTA has a “Cooridinator” which is temporarly placed to secure the network untill it is scaled up eough
RaiBlocks has a “representative system” which will be there forever and it is basically
an address with a lot of money. The expetise says:
The only area where I see a slight issue is in that of their representative system.
This is a potential attack vector

IOTA has a unique feature Off-chain Transactions
RaiBlocks The sender must be online to make a transaktion

IOTA has a mechanism to trim ledger size in a process called snapshotting
RaiBlocks does mot, and over time, size will definitely become an issue
