I didn't follow this coin so maybe the question sounds a bit stupid:
Why was it renamed to Nano? Was there a specific reason or some incident?
(Nano sounds very generic to me, like naming it Dollar.)

That was the developer's decision and what they say about rebranding is : "The Core Team wanted a name that represented the simplicity and speed of the project, and Nano does just that." I can not say that Nano is better or worst from RaiBlocks, but it is certainly created confusion to some users and some of them are not even sure is this same coin or is it use same wallet. Good news for Ledger Nano S hardware wallet users , one of the Nano Developer is finished application and now is only up to Ledger team to add this app to their store. This will be great move, first light and secure wallet for Nano

Nano is very suitable name for this project so that I also think current is more attractive than previous one. Now they are working with great momentum and this project is more strong than before and I hope it will back into more better position in future.

For new comers it is always easy to adopt the re-branded version of any coin. These are existed members who face confusion and even after more than half a year since these changes appeared but even today this title of this thread isn't updated. I was reading people talking about buying signals and first of them was when Charlie Lee mentioned it as one of the highly potential for the year.

Still can't find any real competitor for nano in terms of transactions.
It seems this is still the only DAG solution written from scratch and tested in the real market, also having more than 3 years of development, a large community and fair start.

Yes Nano is so good in  terms of transactions. now its's price only about 4$, it is very cheap!
after the markets go into bull trends, the price will be easy to its' highest price about 32$.

It is possible that it was created specifically and artificially. I have noticed that many technically justified and interesting projects are showing a negative trend now, while totally unreasonable are inflating the price. Probably it can be profitable for someone.

Nano has growed a lot last year, due to bitcoin big and unreal fees for any size of transactions, nowadays bitcoin transactions are very cheap, sure nano still has advantage of being instant, but there is nothing new as i know.  Nowadays most of the coins are loosing their value, all expected a lot from consensus, and we are now in the accumulation period, is time to make your personal bets.... the risk is medium-high as the reward might be and became. Nano has as i know a lawsuit due to Bitgrail hack that happened last year.... until some answers and solutions come to those i believe the coin can get back to the grow as before, because a lot people are frozen into those issue and scared to invest.

Nano sounds quite generic that´s right. But that isn´t necessarily a bad thing isn´t it?  I didn´t like the first name to be honest. so i think a lot of people are quite happy with the rebrading.

Yeah apparently Bitcoin decided to do another correction and take the rest of the crypto markets with it. All Nano holders will just have to wait patiently for the next crypto bullrun in order to see Nano price mooning.

cheap price of nano is good in the short term. one of the few projects that i have actual faith in within this market

Using the HODL app, I think they use the Cryptocompare API. It seems they ended up changing the ticker to NANO from XRB but all the separate exchanges of some bad ones have disappeared.Binance should be there they use nano ticker.

it can sometimes be quite frustrating to only wait for the next bullrun to see some profit or gains. I would really love to see some bitcoin independent gain/loss, but I think that will not happen anytime soon

Hi, sorry should have read some more before I've asked this.
But it's great news, I believe in this project. Instant payments without fee..Sounds to good to be true.
