Ripple is as cool as a cucumber I think. It is against the philosophy of crypto and bitcoin. They are all against banking culture. I don't think that it can be as successful as them by making benefits available for banks. I don't know, I cannot take facny to it.

I wonder where is the sane discussion of XRP? Is it Reddit XRP or XRPchat or what?

There is definitely some thoughtful reasoning here at Bitcointalk but damn this place is a bit like a 5th grade schoolyard sometimes.

Dear Ripplers...
bcc, the Real Bitcoin, im 100% confident.

The only reason bcc isnt flying higher right now, imo is because many are waiting for cheap polo coins.
Once thats out the way and many will realise there is no huge dump coming, there will be a huge swing.
Mining and money will come towards bcc making it the real Bitcoin.

Something huge is coming and many wont even know until its happened.
Prepare....buy/hodl your bcc, when coins come from polo, research before doing anything.

currently
Bcc= decentralised bitcoin
btc= segwit 3rd party centralised coin
This is wrong and must change...only we can change fix this.

r/bitcoin moderation starts and #Bitcoin price moons. Coincidence? I think not.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@krabgat/what-is-segwit

The arguments against Segwit are:

The block size increase is not enough to satisfy the growing needs of Bitcoin’s user base.
Others see a hidden agenda as a large number of people working on SegWit are also employed by a company called Blockstream, whose primary product is side-chain solutions.
Because a side-chain’s transaction will be verified by a trusted third party it is an unacceptable compromise because this is what the blockchain is supposed to eliminate.

The SegWit is providing solution to the following challenges in the network;

Resolve the weak spot in the Bitcoin software
Increase of the block size limit to an absolute maximum of 4 MB. The actual block size will depend on the network conditions. It is predicted by experts to be in the range of about two to 2.1 megabytes immediately after SegWit’s activation.
Remove the barrier to the implementation of second-layer solutions (side-chains) like the proposed Lightning Network. Second-layer solutions remove the bulk of the transactions off the blockchain to a side-chain.

(bcc solves these issuses and more)
If Bitcoin Cash gets majority of PoW then it becomes de facto Bitcoin.

Mrpumperitis, i thought BCC is garbage coin?
most of miners still focusing on BTC thou

what do you mean by BCC is decentralize?

also as usual, need your prediction on XRP, to balance mine Smiley got a hint for me?

MR San2ok & Mr Cret ..both done  Smiley

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

I normally keep the thread on topic, but i feel this has an affect on the entire crypto world.

http://www.trustnodes.com/2017/07/23/bitcoin-cash-splitting-segwit
please read this and more, for satoshis view on bigger blocks and no 3rd parties(segwit is 3rd party)
bcc/bch/bitcoin cash -  has no 3rd parties.
btc -  will have segwit..blockstream a 3rd party.

3rd parties can enforce rules and charges on wallets, trades and exchanges,
aswell as monitor and maybe stop certain transactions/wallets.
please think twice before selling your bcc,
if bcc gets more mining than btc, it becomes bitcoin..this will happen imo.

I've been a bitcointalk member on-again, off-again since 2013 under different accounts that I've since lost.

I've got to admit, minus the colorful language, I pretty much agree from what I've seen.  There's some guy on this forum that has a huge hate for XRP and is intentionally attempting to spread miss-information.  On XRPChat, the mods would've shut down intentional FUD and stuck to the facts at least.

(Not censorship; moderation is different than censorship)

My two cents.

The XRP I bought has lost 60% of its value since I bought them. Everyday I think this is the bottom and the landslide continues....I am getting out at the first breakeven if that happens.

This is my latest blog entry:
https://xrphodor.wordpress.com/2017/08/14/ripple-building-a-global-payments-network-amidst-chaos/

https://twitter.com/Hodor7777/status/897077583292112896

I talk about how Ripple is keeping focused on their goal of building the first new global payments network in 40 years, even amidst the current chaos in the crypto market (Bitcoin fork, ICOs, et al...)
I hope you enjoy the read!

For people who are buying XRP to try to gain a short-term profit, my advice is don't bother, pick another coin.

I hold about 10 different coins at the moment, and I'm most bullish about XRP. If I had to pick one alt that would blow the entire current crypto marketcap out of the water, it would be XRP. This coin has more potential than any other... but this is a long-term project, it's not a coin to buy one day and flip the next.

There are plenty of coins out there with high volatility and frequent pumps - these are the ones to use for trading, not XRP.

The problem is many hodlers will do the same and jump out at break even point. So it will always be moving the price down...
