Some good news - XRP Is More Popular Than Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) And Amazon On eToro Trading Platform

Now, traders on social trading platform eToro just said that XRP is the most frequently traded crypto by unique open trades.
XRP contributed to 29,991 unique open trades. Bitcoin open trades raised 26,773 and Ethereum open trades followed with 25,148.

eToro senior market analyst Mati Greenspan said in a recent interview that we cannot expect bulls tocome overnight.
He said that “Right now we are in a bear cycle. We saw some positive movements over the last few days, and I’m very happy about that. We saw volumes coming back into the market for the first time in months which is wonderful, but you don’t go from bear market to moon overnight.”

Regarding Ripple, Coinbase had recently made the whole Ripple and XRP community happy when they announced that XRP would be listed on Coinbase Pro and the announcement caused a massive fuss and excitement.
Now, Coinbase brought another announcement: XRP will be supported on Coinbase.com along with iOS and Android apps.

Some more good news from FORBES- Ripple is a major Scam

"Peeling Back the Layers of the Ripple Business Model
At its core, the Ripple business model is a pump and dump scheme, as it undergoes numerous activities to increase the value of the XRP cryptocurrency (crypto). Unlike most crypto pump and dumps, however, Ripple takes numerous steps to obscure this basic fact.

So Many Customers? Maybe Not
One of the strongest indicators that Ripple is a going concern is the dozens of customers it touts. Look more closely, however, and most such companies are ‘partners,’ not customers – and to make matters worse, Ripple pays companies to become partners."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonbloomberg/2019/03/01/is-ripple-a-scam/#71fe015479a4

Now we know why CMC listed that piece of shit.

I still don't understand and agree how Ripple is considered crypto. Please try to tell me otherwise

You would be surprised how much you can accomplish just by bribing the right people.

The coin itself is called XRP ... pronounced "ex-ar-pi". Ripple Labs is the name of the company that created the coin.
Some uneducated people call XRP centralised because when XRP was first created, it was all owned by the company Ripple Labs. However those people are stack on the past and don't realise that today XRP might be more decentralised than Bitcoin... I don't say it is, just that we don't know, we CAN'T know who owns which address or how many addresses they own.

At least in XRP's case we know how many coins are in the developer's control (https://ripple.com/xrp/market-performance),
 As of February 24th, 2019,
 - TOTAL XRP HELD BY RIPPLE 6,459,541,915
 - TOTAL XRP DISTRIBUTED 41,432,141,931
 - TOTAL XRP PLACED IN ESCROW 52,100,000,013
Total XRP: 99,991,683,859

Since Ripple isn't keeping a history of the above data, I save them in my personal notes. 1 year ago the data looked like that,
 As of February 25th, 2018,
 - TOTAL XRP HELD BY RIPPLE 7,000,563,553
 - TOTAL XRP DISTRIBUTED 39,091,956,706
 - TOTAL XRP PLACED IN ESCROW 53,900,000,024
Total XRP: 99,992,520,283

So within 1 year, Ripple spent/distributed/sold a total of 541 million XRP.
A total of 2340 million XRP have entered the market from which 1800 million have come from the escrow.
The inflation can be calculated to 4.34% (total coins held by Ripple+Market). For comparison, Bitcoin has an inflation of 3.74%.

I still don't understand and agree how Ripple is considered crypto. Please try to tell me otherwise

I still dont understand how easy people can be manipulated by some dorks on butthurttalk in 2013 paying others 5 BTC to say "Ryppel is a scam"

The people today only Repeat the sentence without getting paid. It got so present in their heads without knowing why they even say this!

Xrp is best crypto

I would gladly get this 5 BTC to say "Ryppel is a scam" and then use them to buy XRP! Cheesy

Okay thanks, that helped. However I've a question, it looks like the XRP coin isn't centralised, but what about the nodes working for XRP transactions? Are they centralised?

Okay thanks, that helped. However I've a question, it looks like the XRP coin isn't centralised, but what about the nodes working for XRP transactions? Are they centralised?

When I checked today, there were 1094 nodes!
Those nodes are all the active nodes: https://xrpcharts.ripple.com/#/topology BUT be advised, the site is heavy, it'll probably freeze on a phone

Here are some very useful information which are provided in 1 or 2 sentences: https://developers.ripple.com/technical-faq.html#validators-and-unique-node-lists

There are some guides around about how to setup a "validator node", but since there are no rewards in doing so I can only see financial institutions who are using XRP and exchanges setting up nodes.
Ofcourse some big holders who want to add an extra safety might run a node. In any case, 1094 nodes are a lot! dPoS coins like ARK run with 51 without a problem.

There was times when people begged for tools like "Google search" to obtain information. Nowadays ordinary human can not both use search engine and gather information on official website. Also, analytical abilities are gone. Forever.

Nowadays people tend to believe first shit post that was given to them. They shout about anarchy, freedom from banks, but at the same time eat every shit given to them....

Most of this people are gone, when light goes off.

I don't understand why wouldn't it be?

Is it built on the blockchain? Yes. Is it listed on any exchange? Yes. Can XRP be owned by anyone? Yes.

Why wouldn't it be a crypto currency? It's definitely not a fiat.

Some people tend to believe that cryptocurrencies = (1) Mined coins, (2) everyone has a fair chance to obtain it (though in the end the rich people build farms and obtain it faster), (3) anonymity.
Personally I believe that anything built on a blockchain and it's used for transactions is a cryptocurrency.

I think that today there are no problems to invest in cryptocurrency. Good resource for. Indeed a lot. It seems to me that today the real problem is the choice of really promising projects.

Seems like this year will be the year of FUD and price suppression so that companies and partners can jump in the ecosystem in low prices.
A lot of big companies are getting into the space and either buy cheap coins or find development teams in desperate need for partnerships and get beneficial terms for themselves.

It doesn't matter to me really, I'll followed the tide up and down, I'll follow it again up and most likely down again. I'm only interested in shops starting to accept my coins for products, only then I might sell some XRP if the price is good.
