I am curious to know why many here are assuming WAVES will hit a dollar at launch. Does that mean that over 100k BTC trading volume must take place for that to happen at launch? Do you think there will be enough WHALES to absorb WAVES at a dollar a go so soon?  Smiley

Many hopeful ideas from people whose bodies are ready to buy huge ships Smiley
Everyone wants profits. The flip side to that coin is if people want to sell/dump when say Waves reaches 0.10 USD, that's still a 100% profit compared to the current prices. In order to cash out at that point you need to have buyers believing that the price will go up to 1 USD, 2 USD, xx USD. These people believing that the price will increase will be there holding the bag. That being said, they too can make a good profit once the platform matures and more business is done with Waves. So what looked like a short term loss can turn into a long term appreciation.

- The crowdfunding tokens can be traded at decentralized NXT Asset Exchange and centralized exchange partners before the Mainnet launches.
After its launch they will be converted to corresponding WAVES balances.

Question:

How can waves be traded on centralized exchanges?

With a pseudo waves token? on which blockchain? the nxt asset exchange is totally crap with absolute no volume, i would not like to trade there.

So therefor asking for a centralized exchange, because there is volume, because they are having pro market maker and base of customers (traders, pro or semi-pro). But how do you want to make them trade your waves token without a blockchain running?

Just asking, in case of positive response from the mods here, i would think of buying some. But anyway, I will get the faucet waves from your ad campaign.

We are on schedule with enabling withdraw investors to withdraw their real Waves tokens to exchanges wallets right after the ICO.

NXT Asset Exchange is just backup plan if any tragedy happens(full supply would be issued and amounts would be converted 1:1)

Well I'm a Newbie & a Beginner in the field of Crypto-Currency ICO & for the 1st time ever I had taken part in this WAVES ICO. My queries are listed as follows:

1. What exactly will be the process to Withdraw our Waves Tokens to the Wallet?

2. Whether this Wallet will be a Web-based Wallet?

3. When we are supposed to get Wallet Link & Wallet Address to transfer our Waves & how are we supposed to Transfer them from the website https://ico.wavesplatform.com/

4. Whether we will be able to Transfer our Waves Balance on the Crypto-Currency Exchanges such as Yobit, Bittrex, C-Cex, Poloniex etc. or not?

Yes I understand that I'm irritating you somewhat but being new into this field, I hope you won't mind answering those silly questions.

Thanks in advance.

1. Process for withdrawal of your tokens to your personal wallet will be announced in time, be patient  Smiley
2. You will be able to download the lite client as a browser plug-in, therefore it will be web-based, yes.
3. Same here, withdrawal process will be announced in detail when it's time  Smiley
4. The goal is to have some exchanges on board right from the start. An announcement about exchanges which are hosting a WAVES trading pair will be delivered.

And don't worry, your questions are totally legit but a little too early  Wink

It's pure speculation, you could replace 1$ with any number you want  Smiley

The price of WAVES is not in correlation with a fixed amount of BTC which has to be traded. It solely depends on the order book - how many investors will want to sell their tokens below e.g. 1$ and how many are willing to buy at that price.

It has some developers on NXT, NXT has good tech but the marketing left something to be desired. Here we can hopefully get the best of both worlds.

I hope Waves will approach banks and offer them all the benefits of the blockchain by putting fiat money on the blockchain. When it comes to regulatory hurdles etc. I think banks should do their part by providing laywers etc.  Wink

Agreed a tokenized issuance system for fiat that is done well and properly will be very cool Smiley

WAVES will not have a wallet.dat file, it will have an implementation of a brain wallet. Just make sure to use the SEED which is provided by WAVES since it's very very strong in terms of cryptography. It's basically unbreakable with today's technology.

You can buy WAVES at ico.wavesplatform.com.
