Sometimes you can also take advantage on the scam coins with the right timing, normally a coins that has no good future will just pump hard in the early stage and suddenly dump making those who go with the trap lose their investment, but if you are smart you know when to come in and go out.

Yes scam coins are pumping crazy at early phase so anyone can benefits from it.

And besides altcoin trades are really like that. There are lots of coins placed on ICO which gives good profits but eventually their volume become a shit one. Just learn how to get out and don't being greed for profits.

AHah, it does something to the strategy used by developers and also owner of the Coin to provide the assessment that the coins they can provide good impact for all who use it. But it also depends on the owner of the coin, if indeed he had tremendous passion then I thought and also you will not apply

That is obvious in most of the cases. What's the role of some alts? To make profits. So play with them. If people don't have a guts to play with them then altcoin trading are not meant for them.

This is how altcoin traders work and people with weak decision are not fit on this.

Altcoins trading is only for the smart people that are very active in this forum, the price moves very much so you need to monitor it most of the time for you to have the right timing to buy and sell if you are doing day trading.

Mine them, buy them and sit on them until you know for sure.  When one peaks, sell half your supply and wait some more.  These are cheap, easy to get and holding them costs almost zero.

Not just for smart as long as people can ride the trend. Not being greedy is the key and learn also to get some profits. They can sold some of the portions when the price is high and left some so that they can still take a ride.

It's really hard to do but make and build experienced so that in the future they can able to keep up with the associated risk.

these are not investment strategies.  these are payment ways. these are that you choose how you invest in bitcoin or in dollars.. but the strategy is where to invest and how to be safe. so your strategy need to be reconsider.

I do not have a strategy, I think its better to just hold your bitcoins for a while till it will be very profitable.
I think strategy are simply not helping because its also a part of luck you need.

Then that is your strategy, to hold bitcoin.

Well it's fine as long as it was effective to you. Every people has different strategy. If you found effective then you can continue on that doing.

The question was investment strategy though and holding all cash is not actual investment.   What people are proposing is to speculate on forex demand, if you sell dollars and buy bitcoin or gold then you are presuming a weaker dollar then either of those alternative cash substitutes.

Your investment was nil, there was some hedging of your savings placed against your primary income which for most is dollars.   Thats smart, Im not arguing against anyone but its not investment to hold bitcoin.   BTC by itself does absolutely nothing, the miners are doing something and so on but only  POS coin can argue they do something by having a wallet

Holding BTC is of course an investment. We are not speculating that the dollar would be weaker, but that Bitcoin's purchasing power would increase. If BTC increases in value (purchasing power), you reap the benefits.

We are all expecting that for our investment to grow that is why we are putting enough bitcoins to hold for the future. I am too confident that bitcoin will be a great success in the future and the price will continue to rise that would make our investment grow even in a short period of time. I can see this a good investment than putting my money in banks.

For me, if I have extra money then I buy bitcoin and then half of it I would add to my trading capital and another half I would hold in my wallet. I would continue doing this until such time when I reach my target trading capital amount and then that would be the time I would take profit. Whenever I have profit in my trading also then I would just roll over as an additional capital so that I will reach my target capital faster. This is how I earn and accumulate my bitcoin for now.

I can see this a good investment than putting my money in banks.

The reason savings in a bank can be called an investment is because its a form of fixed bond.   A bank can default on these savings and you will not get the money back, in effect you are lending to the bank and are invested in its business interests.    I know we are very far removed from that and of course banks pay interest on savings even if they make a loss but still the bottom line is that your money is at risk.
Even recently people have lost money in banks, they were investors.  Such as Cyprus.

Holding Bitcoin is not savings in a bank.   I notice some exchanges do pay some kind of benefit to those who held balances, so that would be similar to a bank and coule be argued as bitcoin investment.   You are lending capital to the business to allow profitable exchange and fees to be levied on transfers, etc

But BTC just purely in a wallet or the plain cotton notes of a dollar, this does nothing by itself.  Nobody is benefiting from you holding this, there is no possible share of revenues or interest gained.  Its purely speculation, same as a gold coin does nothing at all, the miners are invested but the pure holders of gold are speculating on a price alone.   You have to be mining bitcoin is be invested.  The dollars must be in a bank to be an investment

Quote
Invest definition, to put (money) to use, by purchase or expenditure, in something offering potential profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value
The gain of investment is from returns.   Not the original capital altering in price.  If I buy a jar of coffee, I did not become an investor even if the supermarket puts the price up the next week and I was smart and read the news and knew they'd be a shortage.  Foresight, a gamble, a risk taken but just speculation on a commodity price but no investment as I sold dollar to buy coffee.   If I grow the coffee plant, the returns and growth mean I may profit from my investment or my returns might be negative to my costs

My best way of investing is in diversification. I think it is always good to diversify your investment and grow many eggs in your basket. In case one folds, we may at least recoup a loss from other more successful investments. Also it is wise to invest in various assets, not just fiat cash.

if you are looking to investment of money in bulk amount then invest about half of your money in the gold and half of the money in the btc sites likes at casino sites in small small amount .
I've never heard feedback from someone who invested in gold and bitcoin simultaneously, is it they get a double advantage? What if I only have a little capital alone. Can I use gold and bitcoin for my investments? What do you think ?

In my opinion the best investment strategy is obviously investing in alt coins with a quite large capital, because i can see everyday the people with capitals earning some good profits with it by investing on different alt coins and i know i can also do that if i have the capital, so i'm waiting for the day to complete 1 bitcoin and start doing that myself too.

Trying to scatter some of my funds with other investments. I am now looking in Gold to see if it can some profits in just a manner of time. I dont think it can keep up like what bitcoin is doing in its fluctuation but still it is a good choice to invest.
