This site is a fucking bullshit. I just want to use this site yesterday, but i cant sent bitcoin. "Can't estimate blockchain fee for your transaction. Please try again later." Every fkin time... I hate this shit.
Waiting, or what can i do???
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Dear Friends,

I understand your concerns about the big blockchain fee, but it is the current global situation with the blockchain system, not our service.
Some period time ago the situation with the fee has changed and at the moment, the 'mempool' (queue of unconfirmed transactions) is very big; in simple terms, there's a huge demand for transactions and people are pushing higher and higher fees in order for their transactions to get confirmed as soon as possible.
Also, take into account that if you have many inputs (you have made many deposits to the same address), the fee will be considerably higher.

It was discussed on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6vx61u/btc_fees_wtf/

Some additional suggestions what to do are available in this article: https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/articles/115000219854

We are working on changes that can help, but right now please open these links above.
Hope it helps to better understand the issue.

If you have any "pending" tickets without any answer for a long time from our support team, please send me the private message with your ticket ID and I will try to help you.

Have a nice day!

AD1. The problem is not with fee. Who the hell design a system so internal transaction on website is blockchain transaction? Your entire infrastructure should be nuked.
AD2. On segwit the fee is much lower. When i use online wallet i pay $1. And you demand $5?

The other thing is that noone knows whether adding funds to card is really blockchain transaction... maybe it's just fake and we pay "the fee" straight to wirex? Wink
Why can't we send BTC funds directly to card btc address if it's blockchain transaction? But we have to send it to wirex, then you send it to card?

Reason seems very simple, you try to take most money from the users as possible.

You don't really understand our concern, i don't think.

Your competitors are currently offering a much more attractive service by having no blockchain fees when loading and unloading the cards. I'm not talking about deposits and withdrawals(which you also charge fees on), i'm talking about loading and unloading.

Why can they do this, while you charge us like $3 for every action we make, even if can be done completely off chain? ON TOP of existing bitcoin market spreads and other fees.

Sure, the bitcoin transaction fees are high. We get that, but when your users deposit $20 worth of bitcoin and get only around 70% of that back(and i'm excluding the transaction fee that we are paying to sending to you), that's something wrong with your system. You can easily optimize it to at least charge less fees.

Well said. I tried to hint that the fees are too many too big, while the exchange prices are already so bad they could cover everything, but yeah, hints don't work as good as the clear explanations Smiley
I've just paid some 8 EUR "transaction fee" today at Wirex, so I am clearly not happy about that. The current feex on the network is 60 satoshi / byte so the huge transaction fee is clearly a problem, maybe even an error.

Precisely. Wirex is clearly not getting the point here.

Why not store some of your money on an exchange(not all ofc) if you were going to send it to an exchange anyways? As a business you can afford to at least do that, right? It'll probably cut down transaction fees by at least 30-40% just by doing that.

Your exchange rates are already pretty crappy, and on top of that you're charging us more than average transaction fees to send our transactions. I really don't get whether this is something that is incorporated into your profit model, or just really poor management.

I've just got the mail about the contactless cards.
Congratulations for the upgrade, although it makes me sad for 2 reasons:
- since I just bought a plastic card (it arrived about 2 weeks ago) and I guess that I don't qualify for a "free card replacement", I will miss this feature Sad
- I was hoping for an upgrade on transactions (like using SegWit, see the tx fees discussion).

Hi!

- since I just bought a plastic card (it arrived about 2 weeks ago) and I guess that I don't qualify for a "free card replacement", I will miss this feature Sad

We expect to reissue the card free of charge or with a huge discount for existing card holders from temporary unsupported countries. It has not been confirmed yet, though - as soon as I know more, I'll let you know
It would be clear once we settle all details with the new card issuer.

- I was hoping for an upgrade on transactions (like using SegWit, see the tx fees discussion).

As I told in one of my previous messages we are working on it. It was announced only about new contactless cards and there are not all changes that will be soon.

Some more details you can find in this new article:
https://wirexapp.com/segwit-wallet-upgrade-lower-blockchain-fees-customers/

Soon it will be released and it will help with your concern about the big blockchain fee.

Hey guys is there a problem with the app?

Logged me out and I can't get back in. I've tried sending a recovery email and it doesn't seem to want to send.

Also...

I hear that DCR is now supported but I cannot see the option or any info on your site about topping my card up with DCR. I am living in Ireland. Is it supported here.

FWIW. I have had no problems with the card so far. It has worked like a charm.

Thanks a million,

J

Last Sunday I have send about 2000 usd in btc with 2 different btc transaction to my btc ewallet address. I didn't received any accredit!!!
I opened a support ticket and showed blockchain.info link for every transaction (over 200 confirmations at now).

This is WirexApp answer:

Good day and sorry for the delayed response.

Bitcoins deposit can take some time to actually show up in your wallet. That is because we require 3 confirmations in the blockchain. It seems like your transaction is unconfirmed - which means it was not included in any block. It might happen either because of low ranking, or fee absence, or just some circumstances in the blockchain. In such situations, we usually advise clients to wait (there is nothing we can do about that). Usually, the transaction gets finally included to blocks within 2 weeks or reversed back.

Thank you. I appreciate your patience.

But I have over 200 confirmations for every transactions (2 different):

https://blockchain.info/tx/952c8c1b0643ebb2fb70ef6cf6c29e517756f095c06861f806e992de67a29017

and

Are you having problems with the deposits?
