This is an old video on richard olsen when he was with Oanda.  It gives you a good idea of how Lykke was started and how he wants finance to get caught up with technology we have today.

If everything goes according to plan I think Lykke has the potential to become a unicorn in the next 1-2 years (that's 1 billion market cap). In this case the marketcap will make more sense since we are holding actual shares and equity of the company with our LKK coins.

I believe they are at the right location and at the right time for this to happen. One should invest in ideas yes but most importantly, people. I invested in Ethereum because even if it's a risky experimental technology you can see there are some very smart young people working or eager to work on it.

Lykke has a great team with a vision, and a proven leader with experience in this feel. And we can already experience the quality of their products so to me this is one of the less risky investments in crypto right now.

download the lykke app on ios or android and then you can sign up and buy lykke coins. Or check out the website. Right now they have an app as the exchange but they are going to have a website down the line. Its a forex exchange where Olsen is going to set it up where you can trade anything on the website. And there will be no fees for trading so will be very liquid exchange. People have asked where they make their money. I believe it will be from other big businesses that want to be part of the lykke exchange eco system. Customers don't get charged anything but the businesses will be charged to use the platform. I could be wrong, but I believe thats how its going to be set up.

In the next 3 to 5 years it will probably be one of the most used sites to trade on. What these other exchanges do now like poloneix, Lykke will be able to do but also trade much  more including things on a stock exchange and forex exchange. Its a big project but Olsen is the one guy that can get the job done. They could have the biggest market cap even surpassing bitcoin quite easily if it runs smoothly over the next 5 to 10 years. Not a lot of marketing yet so people have no idea how big this is going to be and this is coming from a person with a very pessimistic personality with crypto currencies.

Lykke token is a share, although the price is not good right now, it will shine in a few years, investing in Lykke is a good choice.

When will you develop a non-mobile wallet?   Huh  I like online one licky blockchain.info.

A web-based-terminal is already in development. I don't know when release will be but I also hope soon.

Btw: Some days ago I've found this video with Bill Gates and he explains very good why a focus on mobile is a very good decision. It's nearly as if he talks about Lykke ;-)

Right! That's a video I've also watched when I found Lykke. There is another great speech by Richard Olsen (also before Lykke):

Sorry for asking it again (a bit hard to go through all 64 pages). Is Lykke for mobile only? No Desktop version? As I understand it is not available for trading on other exchanges now?

Looking for team members for various startups

No worries - all questions are welcomed!

Right now the platform is only accessible over the App but a web-based-terminal is in development and also a desktop-app will come. Maybe one can imagine the future Lykke as "Oanda-on-blockchan" (since Richard Olsen is co-founder and former CEO of https://www.oanda.com).

And yes, LKK-shares are only tradable on Lykke until now but it's planned to get them on Polo and Kraken. Won't be next week and I believe also not next month, but it's on the table.

I think your explanation is correct although I still have some doubts maybe tempus can shred some light on this. Here's a very good article explaining how Lykke system works although an ELI5 would be awesome for many of us  Cheesy

Ah, thanks! Didn't recognize that part.

Main-business of Lykke will be market-making --> using the spread. One can think of it as a flexible fee and goal is a very thin spread of course. The whole market is always adjusting, but I couldn't explain how it's done. Richard Olsen, but also Sergey Ivliev and some others, are true experts when it's about market-economics.

Once they have a little bit more time I'll suggest that somebody will write an article to explain it all in layman-terms ;-)

But, Lykke will be about many aspects: financial products, payment system (plus debit card), p2p-lending, maybe also prediction market, information-system, crowdfunding-platform and they also build software for other companies but I don't know any details about that.

Key will be volume. Lykke will be much more attractive once it's fully developed and once they'll add pretty much everything what's significant in Crypto and beyond, forex-trading and shares and so on. Important are regulations. That's the reason why they push that topic so much and they do it all over the world.

In that context, the most recent article again (about progress regarding regulations): https://www.lykke.com/city/blog/lykke_news_digest

There is one major yet simple feature I think should be implemented for the mobile wallet. I should be able to see my total portfolio value based on my base asset. It's hard to figure hot how much money you have in total. Another cool feature is to see how your account has grown over time. This first suggestion is more important than the second.

I'm currently running a test-version (IOS) and it is a little bit different and there it is possible (Settings --> Base Asset, then it shows the Total Capital in that currency). I believe to remember that it already is possible in the actual version that is out right now but a little bit different: If you go on Exchange you can click on an asset and if I recall it correctly that should also determine how the total value is shown, but could be wrong. Problem is, I can't try it out myself. ;-)

But either way it will be there in the coming version that will include margin trading and a lot of other little improvements. I believe users will like it because it is more simplified in one way but also with more intuitive functionality and nice little features. Below some screenshots that I've posted last week:

Some Screenshots of the coming Release:

Very intuitive little features:

Margin Trading:

I'll also forward your second suggestion to the team!

Why Lykke is still under ICO price? The trading volume of your site is so big, but people are not interested in your tokens? Maybe your ico price was overpriced.

Reason Nr 1 is most likely the Bitcoin-rise since the ICO. BTC went from about $600 in Sept/Oct to an ATH and now there is the correction because of the ETF-disapproval and all the drama because of an anticipated hard fork and split. Reason Nr 2 may be that Lykke is in an early stage. Only those who recognize it's potential to grow are already attracted.

But: LKK is just about 4% below ICO-price and with all what will come during the next weeks and months there is a lot of potential in my opinion.

Right! That is because of good news:

EKWATEUR SHAKES THE OLD WORLD OF ENERGY SUPPLIERS March 17, 2017
FRENCH ENERGY SUPPLIER “EKWATEUR.FR” TO ACCEPT SOLARCOIN AS MEANS OF PAYMENT FOR ENERGY!

http://www.electricchain.org/ekwateur-shakes-the-old-world-of-energy-suppliers/

Margin Trading: I'm not sure if it already will be possible right from the start once margin trading is released but I believe it will come (I don't know of a reasons why not).
