If you were rich, would you still gamble?

A lot of people here gamble to become rich, but some do it for fun.

The question is, if you wake up tomorrow with 50 million dollars, would you still gamble for fun, or would you forget about gambling and do other stuff? Personally I think I would still gamble. I do it now, and I know I realistically will never get rich off gambling, because I barely do it and I don't risk much money, just for fun sometimes, to test my luck.
So if I had a lot of money, I would do bigger gambles, but they would still enter in the "for fun" amount (for the new 50 million standard). For example, gambling 1K a month would be irrelevant, and winning with a 1K bet can give you big rewards if you are lucky. It would still be fun, in fact more fun, and it would be as non risky as it is now, in terms of going financially bankrupt.

Having 50 million dollars in stash, i think i have the luxury to gamble for fun.  I can set aside 45 million dollars and use 5 million dollars in gambling.  If I lost that 5 million maybe I can add up another 5 million dollar.  40 million is enough to sustain my generation up to 2nd or 3rd level i think.  I can even use it to give loan to people who wants to mortgage their assets just to chase their losses.  That way I think, I can enjoy casino life and at the same time earn a profit from chasers .

If you see, once you get rich that risk factor does not remain anymore. Basically you are then not worried about the loss you will make and the profits you will gain and hence if you still feel for betting then surely you are addicted and not gambling for money.

You can never say that because in gambling anything can happen, if you have that kind of amount that is a huge money but you do not have self control there is a possibility that you will lose your money.

exactly. one of the biggest problems gambles always face is running out of funds (empty bankroll) because of losing and trying to cover the loss by increasing the bet amount something like the martingale method. but if you are rich and have enough money to cover the losses you will never lose because you can always increase the bet size.

It is good that you gamble for fun and do not even leave it after getting rich.
But spare a thought that you would never be making any money from gambling but only things you get from gambling is : tensions, aggression and loss of money.

But at least the rich has more benefits than the poor, they were able to follow the principle to be a successful gambling as they are playing for fun rather than the reward of money, I would really love to experience that in the future.

yes even i'm already rich i'll find time to gamble when its on my free time i love to bet with sport games and support my favorite teams
i find joy everytime i win and feel okay if i got loss it's part of my enjoyment so i know even i got rich i can still manage to find time for

If I would be rich I would continue gambling and would do it even more. Now I care about my finances and trying to not stay without money at all only cause of I like to have some fun with gambling. if we compare the ratio of the poor people are rich people. we will observe that the ratio of the rich people is more that the poor people.so if they are rich then why are they dling gambling. why they not quit it. and why are they here?

If i were rich i wouldint still in gambling. Gambling is not good for everyone bcoz no body can become rich in gambling. Yes you win but if you compute your lose there are not equal coz there a lot of your money lose than your winning so that if i have a chance to become rich i dont even back to gambling. I agree but it would be not risky if you know how to control yourself from betting big amounts and when to stop from gambling. If your too afraid to lose a lot of money better not to gamble and find some other ways to entertain yourself without any money involve in it. Gambling is fun if you know how to control yourself from it but it could also be harmful if you get addicted to it.

I seriously feel bad for those who say gambling is a fun activity, no matter if you control it or not. But in the end after a long run, you will loose everything. Why to make a habit of something which you yourself know will at the end only harm you ? Gambling is NOT fun at the end, may be in the beginning only.
