It was only like a few days ago people were celebrating a 1000 dollar pot, I'm sure in a very short time we will see 5,000+ dollar pots.

On philakone....I think he's not to be taken seriously, including all his inevitable sock puppets. It should be an unspoken rule that newbie accounts shouldn't really be taken too seriously IF they have anything silly to say. I honestly find the guy entertaining....maybe he can be Gamebets mascot like some teams have comedy ducks or lions we could have Pilakone...the Philakone bear!

This particular smart investor is in both Smiley

Even more so now in GBT thanks to the recent price drop.

btw, Kudos to DailyModo and CryptoDev - dealing with someone's capricious behaviour is never easy and you've managed the situation with great professionalism. Thanks!

I've looked at the figures, if the site can be making 1m dollars plus I'm gong to be holding those tokens probably until the company doesn't exist cause as an investment they are awesome....smart investors should be thinking about holding.imo

$100,000 \ 268btc = $3,700 annual profit per BTC........obviously a lot of ifs and maybes but seriously why the hell would anyone sell near the ICO price unless you are an idiot.

I don't think this has been asked before, but what exactly can I do with Steam Silver? Is it convertible to bitcoin? I'm really unfamiliar with steam, I'm not a gamer. Thanks!

the manipulator is back. for all the new traders or fud out there, here is some advice with explanation

1. the whale buys a few amount of GBT from the 'buy order' like for example the 31.97 gbt and 68.02 gbt buy that happened 30 minutes ago.

- what this does is to make you think the price is going down

2. the whale sets a big 'sell order' like for example the 250,000 gbt sell at 1500 sats currently happening.

- what this does is to trick someone to set sell orders at lower prices, like the guy that put a sell order at 1450 sats

3. someone or the whale buys the 1450 sats 'sell order'

- therefore lowering the previous high and getting cheaper gbts

4. the whale then scoops more gbt at different levels to lower levels from the 'buy order' like for example 1200 sats, 1150 sats, 1100 sats and so on

- this lowers the prices in the 'buy order'

5. when the whale finds his target position (where he/she wants the price at), the whale buys a few amount of gbt again from the 'buy order' and the process repeats

- this way the price just keeps getting lower and lower

* To note: even with a BTC increase, lowering should be in gradual proportions and not rapid decreases (50%), so that's how you know there is manipulation going on.

Conclusion: Someone or a group (bear whale) are still actively buying to get more coins (someone who sees the potential in the coin and e-sports)! don't fall for the trap (by that I mean selling at a lower sell order and buying at a lower buy order if you really support the coin) Wink

WHALE = a person or group with large amounts of a coin that can cause the price to go lower (bear) or higher (bull)
Bear = down trend
Bull = up tend

Thank you for sharing this.  I have been dealing with crypto for a couple years now and I have never seen an explanation like this.  Well done!

Yeah i agree still a lot of Ifs and maybe's but when you expand even further it still is a pretty good looking investment.

$50 million of betting would be $1 million of profit roughly at the 2% house take, this 2% isn't concrete and an average from the looks of it, could be higher or lower. *Edit , taking into account the 10% of that 1 million profit instead of using the 1 million as the amount of profit lowers numbers by a decimal place

This would give us at the 10% rate which will be standard after the first year, First year is 30% so even more money to be potentially made in the first year , althou it needs to be known that the first year will most likely be the least productive in terms of website usage so warrants the extra % profit.

But 50 million divided by 365 = $136986. This would be the amount of money needed for the site to take in in bets every day to achieve 50 million dollars being spent on the site in a year.

Now during the first year this could be very difficult , but the first year we have a increased % , because of the decline thou it wont be a solid 30% return for the year , more like 15%-20% over the whole first year . So you can effectively half that number for the first year with increased profit percentages.

so $68493 a day in bets placed on the website to achieve the number you have given for the first year, requiring it to be doubled the next year obviously but with 1 year of business and marketing , the increase of site users should effectively counteract it .

* revised
So lets look at it now

if the site makes around $68493 a day on average in the first year , you will see around a 90% ROI , this doesn't include the very probable likelihood of a very nice % gain in ROA.

Seem's unrealistic to some? half that number again. $34246.5 a day in bets for the first year would achieve a 45% ROI , still a decent return for any asset and only needs to reach half.

Still unrealistic to some?

Half it again , $17123.25 a day in bets in the first year will return an around 22.5% ROI and an increased value in the asset you are holding.

Edit :

100000/ 268 = $373

god dam it i should of checked the primary number i was basing those working's out on before i wrote that what is effectively shit now

will rewrite it with correct numbers now

Revised it and moved everything down a decimal place .

If based on 1 million of profit on a year
10% goes to GBT holders thats 100k $ for the 21millions coin
For someone holding 1% of the supply (210k GBT) thats 1000$ in dividend

Dude, the problem is that they need 50 Million revenue in order to get 1 Million profit, that is a lot! I am sure that they will get a decent amount but 50 Million..

yeah i think the calculation initially proposed has been misplaced a decimal place , it was moved up a decimal place , so 1 million profit = 100,000 for holders,

268/1,000,000 = $3700 roughly

268/100,000  = $370 roughly

and it would be 10% of the top one, so being the bottom one.

Just some quick conservative number
500€ by pool on about 20 pool 10000$ by day
10k x 365 days > 3 650 000

This is a really conservative thats happening right now , now if ui and marketing tackle in it you can easily x5.

I would be interrested to have some real number from the Gamebet team to see where we are actualy in number of match betted by day and the average of pool value.

Sponsoring some high value tournaments or just have some teams where some gamebet stickers on their hats (like the poker sites do for wpt televised events) would be a good way to gain recognition.
