To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

It needs not only a plastic card. Need the terminal to read it. At this time that read right now probably will not work?

Bitcoin is not widely used in my country nor even known. There is really not much option rather using bitcoin for online payments. I do use bitcoin daily for buying my Mobile load. Other than that, I have to convert bitcoin to fiat to be able to make use of it for my daily expenses.

people mostly spend their bitcoins on digital goods. i think we have to see a wider variety of merchants accepting bitcoin payments. for example when i need to buy a new sofa, or maybe some furniture. would be great to use bitcoin as form of paymenr there.

Why not just use a bitcoin debit card?

To me there is no difference to using my Coinjar bitcoin card or my bank card.
After being locked out of my internet banking last week for 2 days I've given up on them as much as I can.

I can transfer my fiat paycheck to bitcoin for only a $1 fee.

There are people who spend bitcoins at stores or at gambling sites but I never do that. I only use Bitcoin to save my money and to make some extra money at the same time.

I believe so that not all country does exercise the system of bitcoin. In my country we do not do so because most of the establishment here are accepting bills or currency, those business are also not accepting bitcoin but maybe if your are going to have it by person it depends upon if the person have bitcoin..

The problem is that you are using a proxy to buy your good/service. You basically pay in bitcoin and the company sells your bitcoin for cash straightaway. This is bad.

You want adoption, not high trade amount. Just imagine you buying a house with your bitcoin debit card. That's like... 2400 BTC! Imagine someone dumping that much BTC on the market. The bitcoin price is bound to crash. To be honest, you aren't helping the market.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

I think it's okay to use bitcoin for daily things and in my country it's also rare to find a shop that accept bitcoin, so the solution is sell your bitcoin into fiat and buy with it.

The main reason is that bitcoin is still limited mainly to online purchases, and I can't really find a local store that accepts bitcoins. Another reason is that bitcoin needs the internet to work and most of the shops here don't even bother to learn how to interface bitcoin into their businesses...

I'm already paying for a number of services exclusively with Bitcoin, such as for my mobile plan (Mobile Vikings) and when ordering food online (pizza.de)
The biggest problem is that there is still a lot to be done in terms of adoption.

I would like to see Steam support Bitcoin for example or other really big stores and services.

Most people spend bitcoins at some stores or at online gambling sites. I do not do that. I just buy my bitcoins and save them for when the price goes up. If I am going to spend my coins I may regret the fact that I could make money with it.

In my country, bitcoin is slowly rising. We have this FB group and people are becoming aware of what is bitcoin and how to earn it. As of spending them, I don't see any establishments in my area yet that accepts bitcoin as a payment. I only use it to reload my Phone and stuff. Basically just for digital goods. Although some sites in my country accepts bitcoin for Groceries, Clothing, Appliances, and Gadgets.

how much are the bitcoin debit card's fees?

i like using bitcoin but i have couple of problems with that.
first maybe it is just me but i don't like using bitcoin with something like debit card (using a third party) for that i would use money and my bank with no hassle. i spend bitcoin wherever there is bitcoin payment option so far that has only been online.

the second problem which is not really big, is the price which since i believe soon going to go up so i keep the spending to a minimum but that doesn't affect my decisions on using bitcoin that much anyways.
