To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

Guess we got a very different country. Spending it here through bitcoin in a retail shop in a mall or some stores is really hard. But I got the same story regarding paying bills online and it is really handy you wont need to fall in line paying it.

Its different only if your country isnt provided but most of these exchanges do provide to ship almost everywhere besides the US.

So I`m assuming youre from the states. The only few options for people in united states is going with coinbases swift card which their debit card.
I am in Australia myself and can use bitcoins to purchase goods online, if i need to make in store purchases i use my coinjar swipe card and as stated in OP i can also pay all my bills including rent using livingroomofsatoshi.

One big hurdle we still need to get around is that unless you receive you wage in btc you must first purchase some via an exchange just to spend again, this really makes no sense unless you are receiving a decent discount for paying in bitcoin rather than fiat.

I receive a certain percentage of my paycheck in bitcoin and it only costs my $1 aud per transaction.

i'm spending it on foods on purse.io, very convenient, i can save up to 30% for each purchase, i would purchase other thing there if only people are willing to buy expensive thing, but it seems that this is not the case
I never purchase anything with my bitcoins because I know that I am going to regret it in the future. The fact that |I can make money with these Bitcoins is reason enough for me to not spend any coins.

I dont think i will regret of spending my bitcoin because i use it to buy my daily needs and gadgets although i save some bitcoin for this halving event. And will not surely regret on my spending on bitcoin because it has spend in good way but i will surely earn another money if the price will rise and let see for future. Very lucky for those who holding big Amount of btc.

It is one of places that we can deal bitcoin good, I offer to buy goods from other countries because bitcoin deals do not need currency exchanges!

What country are you from? I'm pretty sure there's some online shop out there that accepts bitcoin in your country. And also if you really do want to spend your bitcoin, you can exchange them into your currency and then use that money to buy the things you need.

Really converting to fiat and spending gives lot opportunity to spend in online stores as well physical stores. Effective spending happens when large acceptance occurs.

But i noticed now that there more and more bigtime players in the market are starting to patronize Bitcoin. I guess it won't take long now before this will actually be fully realized.

Yeah but i think it needs good proper bitcoin education for them so they may know the benifits of bitcoin on they accept and use it and also so they can know also they can lessen their transaction fees and easy to be transaction done if they accept it I hope online stores will accept it. so we can buy easily what we want using bitcoin And also i want physical stores will accepts it. Global awareness must be done so everyone knows about bitcoin.

Soon situations will change, the best part is that even if some stores accepting bitcoin gets initiated, at the beginning you won't get all products you look for, only limited products will be listed.

Haven't heard of being able to pay bills via bitcoin yet. Will look into this option further.
Edit: Only available to Australian customers.

Around this time I am not spending any Bitcoin and the reason is that you have to wait longer until the value will be more and that can be nice for yourself so you have more money.
The only thing is that you never know the right moment to sell it and that is hard to make the decision if you want to sell your coins.

For the success and stability of bitcoin we have to use it for our daily use as normal currency, no matter that physical stores do not accept it, we can find a lot of online stores accepting bitcoin so we have to focus on there.

in my country there are atleast 25% of people are using bitcoin but unfortunately 2% of establishments here only accepts bitcoin you cannot buy any foods or dress using bitcoin the only thing we can do here is exchange that bitcoin to fiat and in that way we can buy foods.I am hoping in the near future, establishments accepts bitcoin and in that way it will be easier to spend bitcoins.

Wow, that's big! Where do you live? I think where I live only 1% of people are using Bitcoin or even less. I hope the situation will change in the future but for now it is like it is.

Elobis and I lives in the Philippines. A lot of people are instead of doing nothing, they join the bitcoin community. And since there's very few establishments here that accepts bitcoin, we can't actively spend bitcoins in the outside world. We mainly use bitcoin to top up our phone and to buy from some online shops as well.

That's really great man! I like the fact that Bitcoin helps people who have no help from their government to earn some money. Keep it up! And good luck!

Yep. Third world country + Bad education + Corrupt government, of course we can't just let ourselves die of hunger. Cheesy We have to study stuffs on the internet in order to earn money. Although we can't actively spend them to buy from establishments, most of us save bitcoins so they can afford education in this coming enrollment which is on June. Cheesy

There are people who spend bitcoins at stores or at gambling sites but I never do that. I only use Bitcoin to save my money and to make some extra money at the same time.
I also never spend any of my Bitcoins because I know that I am going to regret it later on when the price goes up. I now that I can make money with them so for me to spend them is really a waist.

One of the obvious reasons for me not able to spend bitcoins is of course not availability of merchants for all the goods and services that accept bitcoin. The community should find ways to convince merchants to accept bitcoin

Merchants should be aware that there is a payment system like bitcoin, then only they will implement it, if they are not aware then it would be difficult that they will start using it.

you are right the situation will be changed sooner,

In a very few years we will see a number of offline stores in our cities, where bitcoin will be accepted as their payment system, and I think that time is also not far away when the governments accept bitcoin as a legal currency for their nations.
