in my country there are atleast 25% of people are using bitcoin but unfortunately 2% of establishments here only accepts bitcoin you cannot buy any foods or dress using bitcoin the only thing we can do here is exchange that bitcoin to fiat and in that way we can buy foods.I am hoping in the near future, establishments accepts bitcoin and in that way it will be easier to spend bitcoins.

Wow, that's big! Where do you live? I think where I live only 1% of people are using Bitcoin or even less. I hope the situation will change in the future but for now it is like it is.

Elobis and I lives in the Philippines. A lot of people are instead of doing nothing, they join the bitcoin community. And since there's very few establishments here that accepts bitcoin, we can't actively spend bitcoins in the outside world. We mainly use bitcoin to top up our phone and to buy from some online shops as well.

That's really great man! I like the fact that Bitcoin helps people who have no help from their government to earn some money. Keep it up! And good luck!

Yep. Third world country + Bad education + Corrupt government, of course we can't just let ourselves die of hunger. Cheesy We have to study stuffs on the internet in order to earn money. Although we can't actively spend them to buy from establishments, most of us save bitcoins so they can afford education in this coming enrollment which is on June. Cheesy

Education is a good thing, but I want to warn you that not all those so called "Universities" are giving a proper level of education. You should think twice before applying because maybe you can get better education by yourself using the internet and spend your hard earned money on other things like food, rent etc. Don't be fooled by them when they are saying that their Diploma will help you to get a better job. Check what  their Diploma worth first.

Were I am from I cannot spend any of my Bitcoin at the local stores. So spending my coins is not a option but this is also a good thing because it helps me to save coins easier.
I do wish that in the future I can use Bitcoins to buy things as clothes or food.

Its good not to spend at a moment, we need to wait for few more months to sell our coins and make a huge profits, so I am earning at a moment and holding for halving.
I'm also not spending any bitcoins, I'm now only holding my bitcoins for the price increase that is indeed coming.
Most likely it will be very good and we can all make a lot of profit in my eyes.

Yeah I agree at this moment you can make some money because the price is still rising. It would be a waist if you are going to soend your coins on gambling or on other things.

But you can turn it your bitcoin into fiat and buy some food with it. I'm also live in the same country like you and spending bitcoin in this country is really hard because many shop not accept bitcoin.

If you don't find any physical shop that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment then you can always convert it to fiat currency as it only takes fraction of minutes to get credited into your bank account.

It is not the best thing that you can do because the value is now not even that high and that would be better if you are waiting a longer time when the value is higher.
And you also dont even know what you can do with Bitcoin and that is the problem, but it will happen soon that it is going to rise.

If price goes higher in future then I think selling would be better then spending, as if you sell you can hold more value of fiat which can be more profitable.

Bitcoin is not widely used in my country nor even known. There is really not much option rather using bitcoin for online payments. I do use bitcoin daily for buying my Mobile load. Other than that, I have to convert bitcoin to fiat to be able to make use of it for my daily expenses.
I do not spend many coins because they are worth money and the value of them can always go up. If I want to buy something I rather use cash or my bankcard.

If you see the higher price then you should spend it or sell it to gain more profits, I do not spend but I keep on converting it to my fiat currency whenever price is higher.

yeah just like me dude it seems this is a common problem for users of bitcoin? where bitcoin has not been so widely used by many people and make a little too who accept bitcoin, and bitcoin make limitation to spend. it was quite distressing

Yes same with us. I guess there are really a lot of countries who needed an upgrade. Or maybe merchants that are open to this kind of business where bitcoin is accepted as payment.

I've only started buying fractions when the price goes down, so I don't think I have enough to start spending bitcoin on stuff. What I plan is to accumulate and hold, then if I already have enough, that is when I'd use bitcoin as payment. For physical stores, it's kind of hard to find merchants that accept bitcoin here in my country, so that is another reason not to use bitcoin as payment.

Sounds similar to something we have here in Aus but its not a bitcoin wallet, more of a 3rd party that you send btc to and they pay your bills with fiat.

What is the name of this wallet provider you talk of and what country are you in?

To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

For day to day expenses it would be difficult to use because I can not imagine how the store is calculated without the help of my country maps cards are not as popular

Bitcoin is also not used in my country but that is helping me to not spend them. It is not really smart to spend Bitcoins because the value can always go up and you can make money of that.
