When you start it, it may looked frozen but it's loading the blockchain. Just wait a bit and it will be ok.

Added a Core 2 Quad at 40Kh/s..

Also I am using CPU Miner on another rig i7-2600 but am only getting about 80, not the performance that someone updated in the chart..

I was also surprised that the i7 2600 gets almost the same hashrate as my i7 4820k.
Maybe I need to OC

If you provide more info someone might be able to solve your problem. From your brief description
it seems like you have an older cpu and  are using the wrong executable.

Yes there are and we have ideas for it however we have been more focused on updates with the webpage and clients. We will begin working on that after the next client update or after the webpage is updated. whichever comes first.

It should work without error

I normally got a block reward every 6 hours or so. But now it was on for over a day and a half and nothing was mined ? Is the difficulty much higher now ?
