What I mean is, I got a new version of the QT a couple of months ago. Seems I had this same issue with "path" in linux home/myname etc...versus Page 1 of this thread and the Ubuntu version and the Windows. I got the downloads and will likely get it via Windows but via wine (linux) as opposed to whatever is there for Ubuntu. Last time I got the wallet updated, it updated everything and my coins carried over. So now there is a new one and it's just confusing. I just need a command to use for my terminal to update to new QT I think given that I have all the files. I'm just struggling. It seems all I need to do is do this in Linux with a hint, you know a command, you know instructions. Other than that, the wallet I have is working fine and Im about to say if it isn't broke why fix it, because im keep downloading files I dont need in trying. Your radio program may address this.

Cryptocoderz,
Yah Im just going down for the day so won't be able to meet while in the area with tight schedule. Maybe we meet for a beer another time.
Im never one to want to push anybody into what they already got going on but merely ask if there is any interest in teaming up on some projects to the extent that we all can learn something and contribute in our own special ways. The Divvy project has some tricks up our sleeves and we do what we can.  This may interest you for the radio spot you have going on:

Having an in-house video production studio enables us to produce educational and promotional content in a visual way regarding relevant topics, resulting in higher recognition and popularity of Divvy and related projects among targeted audiences.Later, video production for other projects can also serve as a revenue stream for Divvy.Project Document

I want to see if you have any interests for promotion of ESPERS but working via the matrix of tools available with Divvy and in concert, perhaps see if there is any way to introduce ESPERS for journalists, content, radio, or video productions. In many regards I think ESPERS has many features that can help advance media, including polling, etc. Not my call but consider promoting ESPERS and getting it circulated among some new productions as a way to "thumbs up" or microfund decent content. Debate, educational, or dog and pony shows are possible. There are some ways to collaborate on "Oxford Debate" and include audience participation, and others have suggested Part B.....working towards solutions that arise from debates, etc, for ANY team, any non profit, any team of journalists, or even a team of citizen journalists that needs to bash MSM over the head and bring the truth out.

hi,
i am staking since a few days with the newest osx wallet (v0.8.4.2 patch-5) and from 8 stakings are only 3 confirmed.
is it normal, to generate that much orphans?
kind regards

Don't worry about staking orphans. Contrary to POW, you loose nothing.

thanks! i know that i am not loosing anything, but also not winning Wink

my question was more, if it's normal to have that much orphans.
the orphans are around 60% and i never had this with other POS coins - but only, when something went wrong.

To move to bigger exhcnages there are some things to be done:
1. There are at least 3 exchanges: https://www.coinhills.com/market/esp/ that are selling ESP, but they are not updated
2. Only on novaexchange trading is with ESP2/LTC
3. On Coinmarketcap is shown only market from https://www.coinexchange.io/market/ESP/BTC that is selling with satoshi and i guess with old ESP chain
4. Coinmarketcap should soon as posible show also trade from https://novaexchange.com/market/LTC_ESP2/ to get some volume from 0 to real data. Without realistic data ESP will always stay last.
5. Dev should send to all the exchnages that have/will updated information about ESP2 and for sure contact Conimarketcap to refresh their data

If this things are not repaired there is no benefit from technical progress of ESP

You saying all these sell orders on yobit are lost coins as they did not transfer to esp2?
Quote
Yobit is still on ESP1, yes they are lost coins. There was a 2 month long swapping period. Many users that had isses contacted us and we were able to resolve them.

That is about 5 billion ESP1 or 500m ESP2 approx. lost by my calculations. Serves right to the people who left it there on 1 sat and blocked the market.

Why don't you just look on the exchange, takes less time to check than to post. Yep and would have took me less time to just tell you than to ask why you did not look for yourself :p

@Everyone

The news:

1. RADIO - Catlin and Cryptocoderz will be getting a local radio spot/show weekly starting next Friday called "The Geek Corner" yeah... we're not joking
2. Public Testnet - the chain is stalled, please do not be concerned we were just busy yesterday, we are rolling the chain back and will have news for everyone shortly.
3. Main Net - Will be receiving several updates from testnet over the next few days as well, no forks though so don't worry about not having the latest client.
4. Low Forum Activity - If you notice us have less forum activity again please do not be concerned, we are smaller team and as such when things start picking up as they are the team's workload becomes bigger and there is less and less time to participate socially. We will make sure to stop by AT LEAST one per day as a minimum with updates and news as well as to answer any questions the community might have.

On that note, we'll be online all tonight (as one of the devs I know I am) and expect to provide you guys with some interesting developments.

Thanks again to everyone for being a part of this!

Point 4.  Embarrassed

Can you share a link to point 1 @ friday?

Thank you.

Oh, what can ya do with a pile of Espers,
what can ya do with a pile of Espers,
what can ya do with a pile of Espers,
early in the morn'in?

                    Greetings all:

To be fair and unbiased, I admit that I was duly warned when downloading and installing the Espers(1)  wallet version 0.8.0.5, that this was "Experimental software" and I didn't really expect too much so I bought some and mined some. I must thank the nice folks at CryptoCoderz for providing a sane Linux build right from the get go.  I was able to get, spend, trade, and mine, all with a sense that this may go very well indeed. Ultimately I had some fun, and gave it a chance to be great. But as of Nov. 29th 2016, I think the "experiment " may have gone a little haywire.  Q: Why am I able to mine (this evening) ten million Espers(1) in the time it took me to make and eat dinner and walk my dogs? that I can't spend or trade anywhere in the known universe? and all this darn near three weeks after the swap at NovaExchange ended for Espers2 ?  Can't someone please pull the plug on the patient and let the thing die respectfully. Maybe we could all just get busy pumping ESP2 and figuring out where to point our miners next? And,

what DO ya do with a pile of Espers?

sell? where? to whom? the system has been put into suspended animation in hopes that some value will be transferred to Esp2 presumably. Are you saying Esp1 could possibly live on to be re-animated in tandem with Esp2?

You mine ESP1?
An abandoned coin, you mine alone all the bocks, probably on your own chain, and you wonder "what can ya do with a pile of Espers"?
Are you sure you know what you are doing? Cheesy
You expect someone will exchange ESP2 for the ESP1 you effortless mined?
