Yes! Now that the devs are working hard again for espers..a great future waiting for espers. Just chill. Its good for a mid-long term investment. The ones that are fudding now will buy much more higher later

The ones that are fudding are already holders as I saw who bought at peak, they FUD hoping things will happen faster, devs will work 24/7 for espers that the coin will reach and maybe pass ATH and they can recover the investment. They think is a good thing to put pressure and say bad things about devs, not thinking that they will scare new investors who maybe want to put some money in. Holding this because I bought in at 26 sats, need 11-12 to brake even.

I totally agree with this! Let's stop the bad thinking and stop saying bad words about devs and this project, and just keep the eye on the coin. You wonder why dev or the team is not that active on social media as they was before, maybe they are tired to see all the fudding. who wants to see 'your coin is shit' 'you are not good' etc?! Lets wait and see what the new beginning bring to us!

My coins have been staking without problems so far, although I've just received 1 transaction in the past. Today after I received my 2 mined transaction the coins are not staking anymore.

Its already in POS stage and also POW still kicking off too.It is hybrid POS+POW stage now.You can stake your coins.

This has been hybrid PoS/PoW since almost a year. However it is unbalanced at this point, so that effectively it has been PoS only for the past 6 months. Next week, the balance fix should be activated so that PoS:PoW is about 50:50 again.

If for a some reason you miss the deadline for the update of the wallet,
there is a high probability that the users with old wallet will simply stop syncing as it’s designed to do so and disconnect from the network.
Alternatively if some clients manage to stay interconnected then they’ll fork themselves into an unusable fork.
To resolve this, simply synchronize from the provided blockchain snapshot with the new wallet/client.

Best way to do this is that you backup your wallet, delete files from your Espers folder and then download new wallet and sync it.
Then import your wallet backup. To sync faster, you can use bootstrap.

In the end, the easiest way to go thru the fork is to update your wallet before November 1st.

Note that this is not needed when you update your wallet before November. In that case, just download the new wallet and start it. Messing around with your data folder is only necessary if a group of nodes (which you are a part of) branches to their own fork after Nov 1st.

What happens if I have my ESP on an exchange at that date?

The exchange wallet will go offline if they didn't update their wallet in time. They will need to fix that and join the network by installing the update, and maybe resync the chain, which could take some time. Monoxide contacted exchanges and told them to update, maybe he could list the "good" exchanges that updated their wallet here.

So far I can confirm that Novaexchange is already on new wallet, Coinexchange is too, but they are still syncing, Coingather has stated "wallet update",
but I have not get their confirmation about it and as I do not know if this is their way to communicate in such situations, I can't be 100% sure, yet.
Alcurex said they will update on upcoming monday.

I will confirm all the exchanges with wallet updates as soon as I get the Information.

1) You can try to export you priv key from windows and import back on the mac client.
2) Just download and use the linux/mac bootstrap from the espers.io website.

I have a slow synchronization problem as well. Also, my laptop's fan start to work at maximum level when i try that. I think it has something to do with new pos staking. Does anyone know how i can turn that off?

When the wallet is downloading the blocks there is a high cpu and hdd usage on every wallet, maybe the RAM too. The pos staking dosen't start until your wallet is full sync so is not that the issue. If you want to stop pos you just lock your wallet.

I have just received a notification from Novaexchange announcing it will close their exchange next year and that we should withdrawl our coins, the e-mail follow as "Kindly note "Novaexchange" will have new owners and management effective April 2018, with major upgrades to the exchange to better handle scaling, stability and security. For better management and security of customer funds we have decided to close down Novaexchange so that the users can withdraw all their funds with no participation/responsibility of action of the new management.". I wonder what will happen to ESP2 since we are not in any other exchange, the new devs should quickly talk to some people to list us asap.
