there are some people who may be so stingy so that they are so afraid to use methods that have a high enough risk of loss. so I would not be amazed if you are one of them. because this is one type of bitcoin users. yeah it might be better for you like this. I hope you can become rich dude

I lost some bitcoin on cryptsy. I was scammed and I wasn't a member of this forum at the time so I didn't really know the warning signs.  It looks like it is lost and I won't get anything back now unfortunately. There's no way to be completely protected with bitcoin so the best thing is to keep most of your coin in a cold wallet and don't trust any website with much of it.

I have lost my first 0.5 BTC or so that came from a faucet in the year 2010 because of a hard disk crash (and negligency). Later, only a very small electrum wallet.

What I have "lost" are altcoins (mainly Primecoins and half a LTC). I had some coins in Crypto-Trade and Cryptsy, and we all know what happened with these exchanges. When Cryptsy closed, they all together maybe were worth about, let's say, 10 USD; but when they had their bubbles maybe they were worth $50.

Fortunately, I've only lost over 100,00 sats from a faucet site. It's just a small amount but it was kind of annoying that everything had to reset to 0 because of the incompetence of the web owner. Right now, I am only doing faucets when I have time and not really looking at earning so much from it.

That is a pity but honestly this can happen so I think this is not really your mistake to be honest.
A lot of people lost bitcoins, I honestly never lost any luckily.

Even though it is little amount but its annoying really knowing faucet gives little profit and for not giving your payout thats insane, but really for i lost btc in hyips and altcoins, i got scammed by the said programs when im newbie days but now i think it is helpful because for that bad experience i learn so much lesson and make me grow up on how to handle my btc properly and what program i can avoid so i cannot get  scammed again.

I've been around since 2013 and haven't yet (knock on wood) had any loss of coins. I've heard of horror stories, like the guy who had lost a flashdrive containing millions of dollars worth of early adopter Bitcoins.. Painful stuff  Embarrassed

Recently (about a month ago) lost 16 BTC.

Most likely a phishing scam that I clicked on. My fault for not being more cautions. Dumped all my alts on bittrex and then transferred out the BTC. Made out with 9.8 BTC but if he slow sold those alts he could of easily got 15-17 BTC.

Only hurts cuz BTC went up so fast and I didn't have time to get back in.

nope, never experienced it, I am a bit hesitant when it comes to Ponzi's, and other easy money schemes investments, I rather try referrals or faucets in my first months and reading a lot of threads on how to be careful and earn btc. And other thing, no to gambling

I myself is very much concern about my earning and do not want to lose them. I have made multiple wallets and divide the BTC between them, so that if one wallet is lost or sloten, not all my earnings are lost. Also i never keep my earning in exchanges etc where there is more chances of a loss. Online wallets are also not a safe place to keet the bitcoins. Desktop wallets are the best way to save the money.

I voted on Yes but my own fault Sad. I lost btc before when i was a newbie and always get attracted to those promising sites that they will give hourly profit for lifetime usually of them are HYIPs so i get attracted and put all my bitcoin that i bought it's like 0.05 and the second one is those doubler sites also because they are also tempting because of the usually double your bitcoin in just 100 hrs so because i'm downed because of my loss on HYIPs so i try it and after that same result i loss bitcoin Sad. So now i'm very careful on the decision that i will make and just doing the altcoin trading because slowly but surely i'm recovering that loss amount Smiley.
