Anyone who loses coins is just a very irresponsible person. Its not hard to make sure you back up your wallets and keep a good password. If you got scammed or hacked then the coins are not lost but stolen and that is a different situation.

one thing is for sure cryptocurrency is for fraudsters and scammers/thieves, because of simplicity in using and a few clicks to transact. I can be certain that every one without exception lost some bitcoin or at least some alt coins either to scammers or to bad luck. I'm no exception from anyone I have lost mostly to scammers either for being newbie or just plain stupid and greedy. But if I learned to this point of my life that there is a higher power that will always make sure no one can get away for ever with causing pain for other people making their lives miserable.

Well I recently lost bitcoin but I got scammed. The site runned away before paying me. Im just unlucky for not cashing out early.
A lot of users feel this way. The best way to handle a ponzi is to not play it. Don't think you can outsmart a ponzi by timing your exit.

I have lost both bitcoin and altcoin. But more on altcoin. It happened in poloniex. I was a just beginning to learn back then. I forgot to setup my two factor authenticator because I was so confident that my system was clean and no one is using my pc except me. But then to my dismay, I openned my account in Polo and found lots of trades history in my accout. My BTC which is not that much around 0.05 were traded to some altcoin to depletion, it was Ying if im not mistaken, and my altcoiin that was worth around more than 0.2 in value were gone too. So a lesson learned the hardway! But that thing never happened again after im started enableiing 2fa.

Oh I have lost bitcoin in many ways Early on I lost just over 2 on a laptop I was mining on that died. I then lost some believing in some ponzi scheme expecting to get 2 btc for .4 and lost that. I then lost money with butterfly labs buying a few miners I never ROI on. I then lost money in cloud mining watching my hash become more and more useless in each and every day. I am sure im not alone

As of the moment, I lost 0.05 BTC. All lost in gambling. I'm still catching up to that lost thanks to the help of sign campaign. But I'm in the bitcoin for months now, imagine how many bitcoins I've wagered already. Just sharing.

Even 1 year ago the price of bitcoins was very high, and how can you forget about like 5000$ putting them into a wallet ? must be seriously rich dude.

Yup loosing even a small amount of bitcoin is also very disappointing, and loosing 20 bitcoins is a really huge amount, If I would have lost that high amount then I would surely have gone mad.

Last year the price was around $300 and multiplying it to 20, that's over $6000. Man I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully for days, weeks even, for losing that much. I practically wouldn't be able to sleep at all. And imagine just how much it's value right now. It's more than twice!

Off course everyone has lost a bitcoin sometimes when the price drop that low there are allot of peole losing bitcoins not even bitcoins but they are losing allot of money worth to the bitcoin. So that is really disappointment you know no one wants to lose that lot.
That is I will say loosing dollars if price decrease, how you lost bitcoins if price decrease. Because the amount of bitcoins with you will remain same no matter even if bitcoins price is 1000$ or 100$ .

It's more than twice! though you wouldnt be able to get it back in my opinion, i think that there wouldnt be anything to worry about and it would definitely be better if you just move on and thats it i have lost a lot of bitcoins in my opinion, the biggest loss was on gambling when i did an all in bet a few years back of 0.5 bitcoin, thats was really bad experience

well i gues sits always better not to deposit in any websites that offer the interest that sounds too good to be true because those websites are usually just some scams i have never lost any bitcoins to be honest to any scams because i just dont invest into such things and i think that everyone should just avoid it, though i lost a little bit on gambling
