You have just over 10,000 blocks before 100,000.  Let it get closer to finishing.

I'll take these comments under advisement.  I have a few meetings today with a few people to discuss this further, One way or another I will Announce some definitive news tonight.

Mining will continue to block 100 000 either way, and the wallets wont be changed on the exchange's untill after block 100 000, this much is assured.

Give YoBit plenty of notice, the way their support dept works it could take them 6 months to update the code there!!

if we hold GPU coins already in Yobit, can we just leave them there? will yobit do the GPUv2 swap by taking the wallet offline and putting it back online?

I had my account hacked due to a weak password I was told. It has be re-secured and a stronger password implemented. Hacker was posting malware links using my account. Always use a very strong password.

You have just over 10,000 blocks before 100,000.  Let it get closer to finishing.

I shut off my GPUs because the difficulty is getting up there and my electricity is nearly .20 per kWh.   It's not worth mining based on the current price.
Also, it's not possible to "get it closer to finishing" since the GPUcoin algorithm will compensate for the higher network hashing rate and increase the difficulty.  The rate of block confirmation is a hard and fast rule within the software.  Presently we are spinning our wheels and while it feels good, it doesn't get us any closer to finishing the last 10,000 blocks.  That being said, the person with the highest hashing rate still wins the most coins and there are very few left to mine Wink  Good luck!

9492 blocks left . . x 45 seconds / 60 seconds gives you minuites . . /60 again gives you hours /24 gives us less than 5 days of mining left !!!!

This looks cool! Hopefully I'll get to mine some.

Everyone in the world can mine GPU soon enough, full PoS is on its way in days !!!!   There will be approximately 175 million coins available solely through staking, should take years to get them out.

That would be my hope, and ultimately the easiest way to swap.  I'm leaving small amounts of my own coin in several wallets to see what happens, but I urge everyone else to keep them on Yobit.

I was asked to hold the premine again since yobit hosts gpu coin now. Since there were last time no complaints about holding it on an exchange then I guess holding it on the way more established yobit should be no problem either.

So the address is
Code:
GMwcxczCCGNVAaVF9Nu4nBSTn9qm4RFtqu
.

Let me know via pm if you have questions. I can answer them in here too.

I would like to get this back from your possession BEFORE block 100000 as well.  In the event of a swap it can be left behind as its no longer necessary.  If a swap is not necessary I will return it to you on Yobit.

Can be sent to address GP4NsN4Lc63mdw68cRBdrhvkrAJvgzHBGh

Pm'ed you as well.

In my opinion there is no problem sending back the premine as long as the dev is very transparent on how he will use the premine hopefully the dev will use from making Gpucoin one of the top crypto currency this year and beyond..

It wont be used for anything.  It will sit in a wallet.  If this version of GPU fails to stake, the premine will disapear and will not be included in the swap.

If this version of GPU does what its supposed to @ block 100000 then the premine will be returned to SebastianJu shortly thereafter.

Doesn't seem like a problem. Dev. is very active here, and I believe he has an interest in making this digital asset thrive and continue with it's growth.

No problem at all I have been to some coins where the dev premine has become a big issue we all know that it is a common practice that dev dump the premine then go away,I hope it will not happen here you have a good project in the making..

Why doesn't SebastianJu just send them to a burn address?
I can make a burn address if you ask.

Edit: Since you say that you are not planning to use them, the best way is to burn them by sending to a burn address.
Any other way would be shady imo.
Here are 4 burn addresses. Pick 1 of them, then ask SebastianJu to burn the coins.
GPUvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvG4uCxT
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaac68i1X
GPUBurnAddress99999999999999Bz61qo
GPU9999999999999999999999999DRZCxq

What makes these addresses burn addresses and unspendable? Simple, I don't have 10 quantum computer farms and free electricity.

Maybe the premine could be put to good use.  Surfing around today and buying some stuff online i ended up on https://www.coinpayments.net/coinhosting  I could imagine GPU on there.  I seem to buying stuff a couple of times a week and it ends up being through coinpayments.  Have a look at the link.

Virtually anyone can buy and stake gpu, and then buy virtually anything else with it, that sounds like a good direction !!
