1. Publish the list of tickets and who has which ticket, a bit before the actual draw. Make sure that tickets are numbered.
2. Wait for a specific block hash for the drawing. Once the block comes, take the last few digits of the block hash (maybe 7?) and convert it to a decimal, by using it as a hexadecimal. Next, use the number that you get and apply modulus (number of tickets - 1) to that number. You should get a number between 0 and the number of tickets, minus one. Add one to the number, and you have your first winner.  You can get the other winners in other blocks, or if that takes too long, use the last 8 digits, than 9, e.t.c repeating the entire process I just outlined.

Then just use sites like random.org to draw winners and record a video of the drawings.

You cant make everyone happy at the same time. There will always be someone that put a disgrace at your sites no matter how hard you try, it is part of the process and people know that this site is honest though. Well I kinda agree with darkstar's idea however I would like to propose to wait for the blocks that will be mined around 6 hours after the countdown of the raffle stop to prevent something like  the previous incident of the drawing starts first before the countdown ended

PS : Im one of the few winners from the past lottery and Im happy with it

Thanks. Rather than picking a block 6 hours later than the draw date, pick the block around 2 hours before the lottery should be drawn. Better accuracy that way. A live video drawing wouldn't be provably fair either, since they can edit the code of what ever drawing website they use.

You are asking a lot here!!  I do agree that we should be able to find a solution that everyone will be happy with, however that is not always as easy as it seems.  There are still to many children here and they al want to play with their own toys without sharing.  The more transparent the system is the better for everyone as a whole it will be, but as an individual, those will not agree on that.

Not really a strategy to the leaderboard. The easiest way would be to create a -EV arbitrage, so your guaranteed to get a certain amount of points for paying a ~5% fee, which has no/controlled variance. Leaderboard is also harder to do, so while it is same reward, it's higher risk.

Define majority. So far, the 2-3 people that have commented said that what I mentioned could work. Honestly, you can't get a easier to verify method than what I said, and it's fair since it uses block hashes. A few others have posted, but haven't commented on anything regarding that. I'm guessing it's because a bunch of people don't care tbh.

I'd suggest you send RHavar or Dooglus a PM on the forums and see if they have a good method/are willing to develop it.

I see the EPL leaderboard is updated already, but seems that it is only updated for the top positions only. I have won some mbtc last Saturday but my point is still the same with the last week update. Means that my winning last Saturday is not count towards the leaderboard?
