Right. Am I losing my mind of is Liverpool actually looking quite a good bet today? Brighton's no pushover and have been playing the best football (consistently) this season.

The odds look tempting, kind of a way to fold people into picking the odds. In the last few matches, Liverpool only lost to Manchester City, plus home advantage, the odds given to them seem fair to me, Brighton three days ago couldn't win against Jablonec, meanwhile, Liverpool defeated Villarreal with a comeback, the odds are well deserved.

That City loss hurt because we were (I didn't watch, but from the text commentary and confirmed by the match report) we had them on their heels most of the game until the sending off.

Booked my win, so am happy. Less happy I didn't go all-in on my budget, but I at least won back enough to participate in all the remaining rounds of the Brazil promo!

This approach makes total sense. I will take it and 1 up it with Borussia Dortmund, since I am German.   If you can't beat FK Bodö/Glimt (and even lose) it's tough to beat anyone as well.

Reminds me of the team I played with (or for?)... if you couldn't beat us, you were very shit. Needless to say there weren't many very shit teams in our part of the city.

Fluminense was the clear favourite, so I understand you if you never believed Chapecoense could score 1.5. Mine was a huge save though, I almost gave a straight winning for Fluminense due to the better odds, but thankfully, I opted for a safer over 1.5 total instead.

Heh, at this point, I'm only betting on them above 3x. Failed the last one and like you said, below 2/1 doesn't make sense for a team with this kind of form. Spurs was for me a similar team with conditions so bad you expected more from bookies.

Arsenal lost to Fleetwood is not a result anyone could imagine before the match but it happened in big surprise for everyone, even for Fleetwood people from coach, staffs, players to fans.

It's a defeat, it's bad for a single match and competition but with Arsenal, in a long season with many more competitive and stressful competitions like Premier League, UEFA Champions League, this early ending in EFL Cup will give them more advantages in player fitness and preparation for remaining matches in other competitions. In general it's better for them in this season as they can fight better in other competitions.

I thought a personal bet should hurt you more than the free free bet?

That said, Arsenal was so disappointing, TBH, though I didn't expect much from them due to the tactical perspective by Arteta, which is normal, as he wouldn't want to risk his key players on such a lower tier game. That alone made me cautious of that match.

Sorry @buwa but you got what you deserve, I thought we all agreed 1.1x is a shitty bet to take on the favorite at all times and you fell for it big time. But you shouldn't feel so bad, Liverpool match also didn't hit for you, probably better to take the loss early than late.

I can say it in my case also for Brazil promo anyway, lost the first match so no need to stress until the last one lol

In my case, I don't usually expect these days to win bets, freebets are fun too and should be placed with caution thrown to the hurricane but this one hurt because... I avoid dumb matches like that in general. He should have had a good squad regardless of who he fielded.

That was bloody embarrassing even for Arsenal youngsters and second team, but huge respect to Fleetwood Town for winning this one.
I told you many times that I refuse betting on such low odds because it hurts much more than losing bet with higher odds.
