Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Thanks IGreek,

Yes the statement

"we are pleased to announce the release of #Syscoin 3.0 on March 31st, 2018."

is true and it is very easy to verify.

Here is a post from SYS Slack:

SyscoinSyscoin@syscoin

We are pleased to announce the release of #Syscoin 3.0 on March 31st, 2018. @syscoin 3.0 will include #Masternodes [v1], #assets and #Z-Dag(Zeroconf Transactions). A @BlockFoundry blog post will be published later this week with further details. #Fintech $SYS #DAG #blockchain https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DXsn27SU0AEZZiJ.jpg

I did not mean to pump a masternode hosting company and I apologize if it came across that way. My intention is to find someone to host a masternode after all 100k SYS is a sizeable investment.

Sincerely,
Ed - aka, mcptrman

Is it possible after the release of Syscoin 3.0, the price will be at the pump Huh
That's what's on my mind. If it's true it's an advantage for investors to save about 100 thousand syscoins that are used as masternode

Decentralized platform, which is a platform for the exchange of goods and infrastructure for enterprises. Quite well thought out from the point of the issue of attracting a business due to its economy in the chain and the functional. Announced the first ICO and the first airdrop, rebranding, Syscoin 3.0, the team is moving in the right direction!

I think we need to get the masternodes and Blockmarket web in place before we make a real song and dance.  Downloading the blockchain is such a pain in the arse and one of the biggest limiting factors of crypto.

Is there a detailed guide on configuring a hardend master node.  Let's learn from Dashcoin as they have been through this stage with their coin.

For example I just found the following steps that were written four years ago :-

  • Run darkcoind as a non-privileged user
Disable sudo access for this non-privileged user
Remotely start the Master Node from another server so that coins are never on the MN server
Ability to detect and alert that the server has been compromised
    Harden the server

It would be great that when the masternode tech is released at the end of the month withis a comprehensive guide.

Also what penetration testing is going to take place, do we have money for someone like HackerOne ?

Seems like a good idea to prevent masternodes getting immediately haxxed on release. But honestly running such a node should be handled by someone with good security knowledge and good Unix skills.

although a how-to/faq wouldnt necessarily be a bad thing

As I understand it, you can run a masternode without your coins or your wallet ever being on the server right ?

Not to parse words, but would you really say this is the "World's first decentralized marketplace?" Maybe blockchain based, but not even really.. feel like we have a couple others.

The first Blockchain-Based decentralized marketplace was also the world's first decentralized marketplace. Publicly released in 2014, Syscoin was launched before OpenBazaar's public release.

Anyone that would like to try out masternodes before they are released should DM me their E-mail address so I can send them an invite to our Slack. We have a #beta-testing channel there and there's instructions and support on setting up masternodes on the Syscoin testnet so you are ready for when they are released to the Syscoin main net.

Blockmarket Desktop 1.2.1 Update: First-Time User Help and Bug Fixes

We are proud to release our latest update of Blockmarket Desktop 1.2.1with more in-line help and bug fixes. The new help functionality increases useability for new users.

A number of issues with laptop users having their data corrupted by sleep mode have been addressed plus a number of other issues such as:

  • Create verified hash signatures for release versions of BM on OSX and Win.
  • "Fund-wallet" bugged after quickly changing the amount of currency you want to exchange. Gives a rate to exchange not in line with the real rate.
  • Send amount field too small.
  • Incorrect funding amount shown in Funding Manager.
  • "Tutorial" text updates for main sections.
  • Strong password warning.
  • Show ‘Restart Wallet’ error to user when encrypting wallet for the first time.
  • Limit Alias creation maximum to 5 years.
  • Stuck on loading screen.
  • Margins and padding issues.
  • Catch opening Blockmarket while it’s already running.
  • Fund Manager currency selection full name and logo.
  • Console error on Startup.
  • Being able to directly message the seller from the offer.
  • “First Time” experience improvements.
  • Code signing for releases.

This is a point release and some additional issues we are aware of that require core changes will be fixed in 3.0. We have more news and several posts we’re working with our legal counsel on for regulatory compliance before we can share them publicly. We’re making good progress on our goal for the end of March release and will be sharing more about that in the upcoming updates.
