How good are you at managing your money

I'm pretty bad at it and I don't make as much as I used to.   But I don't have credit cards so I don't live beyond my means.  I guess I'm not as bad as I used to be.

About the same story here, never been too good with my money but i have been getting better lately. At least my rent is always up to date and bills paid.

I also don't have any credit cards, got 1 sent to me as soon as i turned 18 i think and it went very bad but that was years ago now so i lernt my lesson the hard way on that.

Since my work hours got cut when sales went down a few months ago i have had to survive from paycheck to paycheck.

I actsually have a lot of credit card debt myself and I'm on a pension. I spend more money than I earned. The real thing that screwed me over is maxing out my credit cards. Now I have little money except what I earn here.

This has become the case for most people with credit,debt has suddenly become seen as a good thing because the interest rates are so low.
Once we adjust there will be a generation or two that never knew interest rates could be so high and have never known 15% in their lives.
There is a reason why car companies are getting into the the business of debt,they can make 5 times more money this way.

Yeah interests are so damn high to others that it is almost like robbing you. 15 percent is a lot of money specially when the price is really high. That could be a month salary of one person or more.

That is why credit card is not really advisable if you are good in managing and controlling yourself. You should always think that credit cards are here to tempt the users to spend more than what they can afford to lose.

Having credit card is not bad because you can use it if you need it but limit your spending and you must depend on your salary bracket and  how much  funds youll need to use for a certain needs   so that you wont get overdropped on your bills. Well, im having also difficulty on handling budget its better to give all to my wife.

Only those who have a very good budgeting technique should have a credit card because if you do not have control on yourself you can easily spend though it is not important anymore and you will just realize when you cannot pay the amortization anymore.

Thats true if your holding a credit card  you must be responsible enough just think first for the important things that are needed in your daily lives. Make control of yourself on spending  when using credit card youll suffer  in the end on paying those debt with interest which a really pain for us and you just realize in the end.

Yeah it's hard to control your money when their is so much cool stuff to be able to buy with especially with internet gaming becoming so big and there being ebay and stuff

Credit cards, it is in essence, the debt pit. And if a person gets there already. It's hard to get out of there yourself. Always, everywhere and in everything, it is necessary to rely on their money and power. Sometimes, without a loan can not do. But what to do to register is a valid credit card ?!

This is complete nonsense, to spend real money on virtual world! Do you like to skate, love and sleigh to haul. So they say in Russia. In that sense. When caught up in the virtual world. In the virtual world and earn money on their own needs.

We are the same in that state. I also give all my salary to my wife. She is the one doing the budgeting. But my salary isnt enough thats why i do online jobs and signature campaigns to increase my income daily and supply my financial shortages. If i dont do online jobs then i do not have money to use for my daily needs since i gave all my salary to my wife.

yeah I think my wife is a great money management money. I handed over all my salary although i took a few percent
to buy some of my needs. yeah I can buy stuff (like the car home and so forth) for my wife's good at saving money

No wife here so I gotta do it by myself. Looking at my grandparents and parents the wife is definitely more strict with the budget.

I got used to having fixed percentages to into saving / investment / leisure I take from my salary from the beginning of each month. Let overs are used for vacation and weekend trips.

Same here im not really good on partitioning or budget my salary. I always end up on short budget because i usually buy thing or spend it unwisely even its not important on my daily needs. If i would have a wife maybe shell take care of my money soon.

I think I'm not doing much with my money to actually say that I'm good at managing it. I usually get bitcoins like every week but I happen to use fiat money in real life and not Bitcoins. I only use fiat money to buy food and to pay for transportation. I'm still living with my parents so I don't have to actually budget things.

well i am pretty good with managing as i always have enough money for everything, i make a list what i spend and what i get so it is easier

I can sense from the posts above that many members here are still pretty young considering how they approach their budgeting. Younger ones tend to be more carefree when it comes to money because they have yet to find out how hard it is to earn it sometimes. Once the responsibility to provide arises, then budgeting would become a must in order to have a proper allocation of resources for whatever wants and needs.

credit card is needed in life and will come in handy when you have to use a lot of money in urgent situations but if you talk about need a control to use credit card is pure if you use for shopping.

Well for me i think girls are indeed good when it comes to managing money because they know how to budget and spend the money in important things and still manage to save. as of me, i think im doing fine because i can save somehow in every pay day and i dont buy things that is not so important.

I do manage my income. First if i received my salary i make a list  where i expend my money to manage it orderly. I do pay all our bills, then go to supermarket to buy our needs until the next payroll, then i set aside for allowance of my kid. Then i set aside for a little bit money for my savings. Thats the way i manage my income to save wisely for my kids future.

I'm managing my earnings in the way that I didn't allow it to drain. I left my 20% on my earnings just to be sure. For example, I want to buy something , my earnings should not be as 90% on my earnings. I need to let my 20% bitcoin in my wallet just for emergency porpuses. And sometimes, if I want to gamble, I only gamble 20% of my total earnings because I don't want to be addicted to it. For example, I have 2 BTC, I will use my 0.4 BTC for gambling, If I lose, then accept it, but if I win, then that's good.

Having a wife who knows how to budget money is a good since these characteristic of hers won't fade for your entire life. As you said you won't face any problem regarding to have a debt in future since your wife could manage all in terms of financial. I think some women doesn't have this kind of attitude coz some are not wise spenders they don't mind about the money you really do hard work to gain it, they just usually spent it on non important things which is really not good for the family.
