Something i had learned with problems that others people has is about the credit cards, sure they might help anybody but without control the most of people spend their salary into those, my lesson is if i wanna something i will collect money to buy it, if i havent money i wont dream with it.

if we will not have money then we do not need to buy it but dreaming for it is better for us as if we dream for a thing hen we will try to work hard to earn more money to buy that thing and we will save our money wholeheartedly.

I'm pretty good at managing money now but I can't say I always have been. I think I do a good job of investing my bitcoin and controlling what I hold on to and what I use for trading and lending, etc.

Well even you are going to have a lot of investment in bitcoin still you need to be able to manage your money properly. And what I am going to do is when I have good enough money I will going to make a list for everything that I will going to spend my bitcoins and allocate them properly. Like some part for expenses and some for investment.

With a lot of gambling that is taking place plus the sigs are almost all gambling sites it is really hard to control it when you know you have a bitcoin to use. It is good for bitcoin economy but not for people. I guess managing is really that hard when temptation is near you.

You would only be tempted if you let temptations tempt you... But if you don't entertain them, then you are just fine, what I think would really make your managing skills difficult is when an unexpected event happen and you have no choice but to spend money...You can refuse spending money on gambling but never on emergencies...  Smiley

That's certainly true, besides you cannot invest when you are not good in managing your money, it always starts with managing your expenses and if you can do it well you will be able to save money as your savings for future opportunity of investment.

When you are on your way to investment, you need to take care of your investment as that is your future and it depends on your decision on the outcome of your investment.

You have a very good  plan  on  regarding on your  management on your money which  these things or ways could able to make you succesful   in the future or  in the long run.  Saving would really a good thing when you intend    to make invesments    on  the future. Managing funds properly should be  obliged on yourself.

While we are all here on this forum to earn one way or another, how well do you manage that money after you've earned it. Do you trade your Bitcoin as fast as you can spending it all in a day or do you save it? I recently got paid for a job I did in programming and i keep finding myself wanting to spend more of that money i made. I have a lot of credit card debt and that is not good. I have destroyed only two ofg my credit cards to which I owe thousands of dollars on.

how do you spend your money?
To be honest, i am an expert in managing my money. I never spend all of my money at the same time. In my piggy bank there is always a large amount of money as well as my bitcoin wallet. The best way not spend money is to keep it in some places where you can not use it.

I am slowly learning how to manage my money properly but I can say that before I discovered the right way to save money then I am really not good. For now, I still have some unpaid debts and it's not good because I earn only enough and my debt is already having its anniversary still unpaid. I will do my best to earn additional income to slowly pay my debts and then start to really manage my money properly because even if I earn big but I don't control myself then I can still not save. The way is to strictly follow my budget and spend only what I can afford to spend because what happen before is that I already spent unearned money that's why I am having that much debt.

We are the same im not also good in managing my money. If i just go to grocery to buy some foods i just pick and put it in the basket and i dont even mind the price thats why i forgot something important than the other things that i bought. Making list is nice idea! I should try it.

I try as much as possible to be better at managing my finances. I am not getting any younger and I have a growing family. If everything was easier when I was single, being a family man is a completely different thing. I try set my priorities so I won't find myself lacking money when I need it most. Also, even if I get an annual raise, I try not to adjust my lifestyle.

At least you knew it. And once there is a real need for you to save, then you know the things that you need to develop and that is your tendency of buying and just buying what you really want. The moment that you need to save is when you already have a family of your own where you budget your money for the education of your own children, food for the table, bills, and the like.

That's right but you should try harder. I'm sure you know already from your own experience that you can't make money with gambling. Gambling is a good distraction so I think it's nothing wrong with spending/losing around 1% of your earnings on that, but you will never earn with gambling.

Losing a small percentage of your total income is just good if you are also enjoying in gambling, but with lack of discipline your loses may aggravate into a serious loses so you also need to be cautious to play on in gambling for fun and nothing else or more.

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
  And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
  And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
  To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
  Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
  Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
  If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
  With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
  And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son.

i could not agree more to that. It is ok to gamble sometimes and lose some amount of money that you can afford to lose. But even if you are only losing money that you can afford to lose and you are playing regularly, then there is a big chances that you will lose more than you can afford to lose at the end of the day.
