I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this??

I initially bought .5 BTC thru Coinbase, then I hit a jackspot thru gambling website so now I have 12 BTC. I want to be safer now though, I know I cannot count on hitting jackpots.

Ethereum is looking really solid at the moment. I didn't think I would ever have anything to do with altcoins again but it would be silly to ignore the fact that Ethereum has made a lot of progress over the past months. So I'm moving a portion of my Bitcoin into ETH. I'm not going to recommend investing in ETH as I have no idea where this will lead. But I will suggest that you do your own research and make up your own mind about Ethereum. This coin looks like it will be around for a while

Best advice. In most cases investing Bitcoin in the Bitcoin sphere is too risky. There are very few (if any) investment opportunities that are both attractive and not a scam. Since Bitcoin is effectively functioning like a deflationary currency, you will likely realize a substantial gain in purchasing power if you just hold on to it, doing nothing.

If you want more BTC, invest more fiat. Find some work, or sell something you don't need anymore. That's easy and a lot less stressful than searching for a quality Bitcoin investment.

A lot of money you've got there. You wouldn't want to lose it all, would you? There's simply too much to lose there. It's up to you, really. It all depends on your risk appetite. Whether you love risk, or whether you hate risk.

My suggestions -

If you hate risk and just want the safe route and go long term:

Hold bitcoins for the future price increases, put it in a safe cold storage, and wait a few years. Might take time but it'll definitely pay off.

If you are OK with some risk, or love risk:

Go to P2P lending sites and lend to trustworthy people that have a alright credit history. Offers you way more return, but also infinitely more riskier.

Just don't put all your coins on one place in one hit. Do things slowly and I think you can make something big.

I wouldn't gamble any of that money, certainly not such a high amount as 1 btc.

Give out loans with collateral
Buy some altcoins after you've done enough research

Investment will always be risky, but you need to take those risks at this stage as bitcoin will grow in future and you can expect better returns from it in future.
