I think bitcoin is going to have hard time for accepting bitcoins in the future that is why they are just implementing gift cards and going to be bought by

The gift cards is a good way to spend the bitcoin. It does not have the problem of confirmation time invovled in using bitcoin directly.

Probably longer then you anticipate, i think amazon will be accepting bitcoin when they become bigger, when it's bigger it's worth it for them to make it a payment option.
Also  they probably wouldn't want to take the risk yet of having bitcoin with all these price changes.

Also, they will check if they are earning a profit from those deals else they might use it on trial basis.

Yeah your right.. but now i realize just now that amazon is affraid if they accept bitcoin as payment.. because if costumers are not satisfied about bought item or false product you can not getting back your bitcoins.. unlike paypal that you can reverse the payment..

Off course also amazon needs to believe into the bitcoin because bigger companys are also using bitcoins in their company so amazon wont left behind trust me.

I hope so because If i understand right Amazon also accepts user products.
This means I could sell some of my stuff for bitcoin, and also then alot of stuff I would be able to find and buy with bitcoin which is amazing. So i hope amazon will be accepting it but I haven't heard any news about this yet. We will have to wait and see.

Amazon does not accept the bitcoin directly. But you can use the gift cards, which can be bought with bitcoin.

Well they make the first step allowing to buy  giftcards with bitcoin, soo they will be accepting bitcoin in a question of time, in the past those companies didnt even consider bitcoin as option, now they are allowing slowly.

If Amazon starts accepting bitcoin in the future, guess what.  I'm still going to be using my debit card linked to my bank account.  It's much easier and I don't have to go out of my way to buy bitcoin just to spend it.  And then have to deal with tax consequences of buying bitcoin and spending it and paying taxes on what I bought, etc.  That's complete bullshit, and this is why bitcoin isn't being used as a currency.

I think amazon will not adopt bitcoin until more people recognize and use it and it has to become more stable which it is doing right now but more stability means less investors and less stability means less regular bitcoin users so its a tough decision. But maybe it can happen in the future yes we have to wait and keep up to date.
