Depend on growing of bitcoin and count of users. Because if there are not people use bitcoin Amazon not will accept. Bitcoin is new on the world, needs more time for it until accepted by Amazon.

They should adopt it soon and whenever I have contacted their support, they say they will check it out and let me know soon. If many people keep asking them to use bitcoins as a payment method, it will be then they will introduce it. So please start contacting their support for the same.

Some of bitcoin users are regular amazon users, at least some percentage as a whole.

And I think if Im not mistaken, lots of request have been sent to the one of the big online merchant store to add bitcoin as their payment option.

Yeah your right.. but now i realize just now that amazon is affraid if they accept bitcoin as payment.. because if costumers are not satisfied about bought item or false product you can not getting back your bitcoins.. unlike paypal that you can reverse the payment..

This is the reason that I think they won't offer it as an option, there is too much risk on their end as far as scammers are concerned.  It's the same reason eBay won't adopt it either.

If Amazon starts accepting bitcoin in the future, guess what.  I'm still going to be using my debit card linked to my bank account.  It's much easier and I don't have to go out of my way to buy bitcoin just to spend it.  And then have to deal with tax consequences of buying bitcoin and spending it and paying taxes on what I bought, etc.  That's complete bullshit, and this is why bitcoin isn't being used as a currency.

I honestly doubt about it but you never know if they will, I never heard anything about it but it would be nice if this would happen.
The same thing is for Ebay I hope they also will accept it soon..

Amazon is a huge company and they've been promoting their own payment/e-currency services. I highly doubt that bitcoin could benefit their business model when they've invested so much into being competitors. I find that their stance on services like purse is relaxed though so it's good that they let 3rd party bitcoin-related services work with their platform.

And 2 years later we have fully integrated Bitcoin payments on Steam.

What??Accepted bitcoin payment? I think until now steam not yet to give more confirmation about accepted a bitcoin payment on their system. many their customer having complain about a steam statement to accepted a bitcoin payment.

I am in doubt about amazing to accept bitcoin, amazon have their own payment source/software, gift card. if amazon accept bitcoin, It will not benefit amazon in business..
but anything can happen, if lots of people start using bitcoin and amazon find that people leaving amazon because they don't accept, then they can start accepting bitcoin also.
