As for me panic selling is an advantage to us because it make bitcoin value down ! It already happened many times and I believe it will happen again so when that time comes we must be ready because we must buy as many bitcoin as we can because it any time soon it will recover its value again just like what happened in the past years !

For me it is not an advantage because that shows that you are still new to bitcoin. Most of the panic sellers are the newbies but also when the price of bitcoin is reaching its all time high then it is almost everyone's act to do panic selling. Because we are already satisfied for it, especially if the price is going to land at $1,000+.

Yes, you are right, panic is often the newcomers. But thanks to him the price of Bitcoin falls and we can buy more Bitcoins the future. You just need to be able to use the price fluctuations and to think about the future

People who have bought their coins at lower price in the past will surely prefer to sell their coins if it crosses 4 digit mark and I think that is the right thing to do as everyone is investing their money in bitcoins to make good profits and if the price of bitcoins is allowing them to make profits then I think there is nothing wrong in selling bitcoins.

Here's one side that makes us interested in using bitcoin, sometimes there are people who very need money so they will sell anything including the moment of panic, I suggest to don't panic when buy and sell bitcoin, chill, and observe the movement of the price would be better.

The need will happen because you do not put what you can afford to lose, by investing with bitcoin, we have to make sure that we dedicated that amount for investment only. We should take care our expenses from other source of income, your investment has no definite time as we cannot predict how the market move, the value may drop or rise and it could happen more than a number of months we expected.

It would trigger the pending buy orders of lower levels and investors who were willing to buy bitcoins at lower levels would have bitcoins sold in the dump so I don't think that it would make any serious impact on the bitcoin for the long term. Bitcoin is still struggling to remain stable so there are possibilities that impatient investors might sell their bitcoins anytime in panic selling chain.

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

Many big whales will implement this plan because this will effect to small amount of people who has little amount of coins. Pumps and dumps are common on in this industry because this pumps and dumps will effect many people. Some people will gain and some people will lose.

Its always done in altcoins, especially newly released altcoins.Usually dump is done by huge whales to make price fall low and then buy them in bulk.Since altcoin market is small, it can be done easily here. But bitcoin is a huge market with users all over the world. So no one can dump bitcoins. Its highly impossible. But since chinese own large number of bitcoins, they do create an impact on the price of  bitcoin when they sell it in large number at the same time.On january 1st week, we saw the bitcoin price fell down quickly to $750 due to panic selling in china.

Panic selling is already not new in Bitcoin! it was actually an opportunity for us to buy bitcoins because in long term we might doubled up our capital! I actually experienced it back in 2015 when bitcoin price starting to fall to $200 what I did I buy bitcoin and save it until it hit $300 I almost triple my money there and thats kind of opportunity I am waiting to happen again until now

what do you analys if bitcoin price can down again until reach 200 dollar
you can explain for me what you reason bitcoin can down to 200 dollar

At the moment it seems that people has calmed down and all this predictions about big, big dump has vanished somehow and most Bitcoin users are calm now and don't tend to panic selling.
I agree that everyone has set its own limits and margins so that can make the best possible profit from pump and dump situations.
yeah I think today looks not too many people who do panic selling because the current prices are quite stable, it is different from a few weeks ago that you could see prices go down very quickly then most users panic
No we never see panic selling shown again because bitcoin prices are very strong visible from mid-2016 and to date are quite stable.
yes. bitcoins price are stable for the last couple of weeks. and due to stability of its price, people are not into panic selling specially the pros in bitcoin community. but still some will slightly be in panic selling. and when this happens? it is due to newbies. they are being over ruled by thier emotions and they are afraid that the price will dump. especially in trading markets (im not only talking about bitcoin here but as well as alts.)

It depends on when they decide to sell. The psychology of every person is different and each of them would react differently to a sudden price drop. If a big sell happens as a reaction to bad news about Bitcoin, more sells by other traders could follow. If a big sell happens when expectations are high and the news is good, the price of Bitcoin is less likely to collapse. In both cases though there will be people who simply sell because the price is falling or buy because the price has fallen.

It is mostly a one way ticket for many altcoins

After the initial pump (organized by coin developers themselves), the dump that follows is final. You may see that at Yobit exchange which has become (or was intended so right from the start) a conveyor for pumping and dumping ICO currencies. After they end up at the price of 1 satoshi for millions and billions of these coins, their "happy" owners start giving out them for free in an effort to instigate interest to their failed investments (hoping for a crazy whale)

Thats exactly what panic selling is. You already answering your own question mate. Panic selling is caused by a huge dump by the big bag holders and manipulators. And the one who are caught in this kinda trap is the newbies. They think that they will already lose their money if the dump will continue so they will sell it at a lower price. They are ruled by thinking that the coin they bought will become dead. Well emotions are to be blame in panic selling.

i think those people who are strong decision taker and can stand on their decision will not suffer by panic selling. panic selling only take place when we realize that the market is going to crash and everyone start selling their bitcoin at any price. so the price start falling down tell the point where the price of bitcoin get some support where people start buying bitcoins and do not let the price falling down any  more.

The same thing happened early this year. After okcoin and bitcc meeting with people bank of china created uncertainty and bitcoin fell from near $1175 to $750 within three days. Panic selling is the beauty of margin trading as if there is no panic there will be no money to make. The wise one analysis both the technical and fundamental reasons why price is going down and take their decision based on the outcome of they analysis.

yes you were right. panic selling is somewhat good for we are able to buy a certain coin in a much lower price (this is for pros in trading). unfortunately, this is a great lose for newbies especially if these newbies buy these coins in an average price then suddenly price dumped. as what leemgoo said they were the first victims of panic selling and their emotions that they may lose more if they will still wait for the price to pump and what happens is the contrary. these newbies now think that "sell it in a lower price then gain even half of the investment or lose it all"

I guess what will happen now since the price is rising again will be panic buying, why not? The price movement will probably gonna hit to $1,000 again and I know some would love to sell at the current selling price to cash out a bit, but I tell you, if you don't badly need money you could hold longer for better profit.

I think, it would countinue rising up as it attracts invetors to invest bitcoun after it survived votality. Hence, we should hold our bitcoin more as to earn profit. Hoping that votality in China won't occured again and continue rising up of bitcoin. As bitcoin is being introduced by some famous websites and blogs, it really helps to widespread its market. Let's just support bitcoin, a future main mode of payment online.

It seems that every time the price touches the four digit mark, panic sets in some holders, thinking that it will not be able to last before the price plummets again. As a result, some sell as soon as they can, causing an avalanche of selling which then sends the price by a huge percentage drop. This happens very often and I am sure that many have taken advantage of such occurence.
