A domino effect can happen but if there is not a real reason for such a thing to happen then the effects are going to be limited but in the other hand there is a reason for that then bitcoin can lose hundreds of dollars in a single day.

Transaction fees on the BTC network is increasing with 1200% per year currently. That is not a bright future to me.
It won't be very long until we see $10 fee per transaction.

At the same time, there will be other decentralized currencies that will have 1/1000 of the transaction costs, will use less electricity (electric bills are draining value from BTC users) and will be many orders of magnitudes faster.

Robots dont decide. They just stop when the limit that have been input has been reached.
It is still the user that made that decision.
It is not good all the time, you can keep on losing when you just let it be.

Most of the people when it comes to investing or trading they get confused and really scared when the price starts going down and so they try to overcome or cut their losses so they start selling and it is understandable when it comes to large amount of trading panic selling is a good idea for them to undercut them loses, but then again having a buck up strategy would be better to avoid these loses.

Failures to our emotions sometimes might help like this. But it is not a recommended way of trading/investing. We must have predetermined price levels to cut the losses.
