People are nowadays not so stupid that they l sell alway their bitcoins when they see others selling it .one person might do that as he fears that bitcoin might go down sharply and he will loose all his bitcoin value and it might be that he needs little prof so its okay to sell his bitcoins .
Im think they're are panicking selling their Bitcoin because they think that after a big move of price of Bitcoin its a big dump also.Like happen last time its down over 10% of Bitcoin price I hope not happen again.
Investing in Bitcoin is good when you have free money which can be a time to think and wait a year or two as needed for the desired course, most people do not have such a possibility in the case of a sharp decline prices immediately sell their Bitcoins to regain at least part of the money spent .

I guess what will happen now since the price is rising again will be panic buying, why not? The price movement will probably gonna hit to $1,000 again and I know some would love to sell at the current selling price to cash out a bit, but I tell you, if you don't badly need money you could hold longer for better profit.
we are not expecting any panic selling in near future, i am hopeful that this time the price of bitcoin is going to increase smoothly, and hope that this time the price id going to cross the historical high price of bitcoin and after that we can expect a little bit correction in the market, but the market has to continue growing for next few months.

i think if there is a panic selling from the trader is because many trader see there is the price is increase, then the price will not going to go up because many trader will sell their bitcoin and thinking that maybe its just correction for the price and the price can suddenly getting down. so we should think wise before we sell our bitcoin and only hope that we sell it with higher price than we buy.

maybe but the rising speed doesn't show this, we are still at $980 after nearly two days. if there was a panic buying (fear of missing out or FOMO) we would have seen $1000+ already.
i think most of them will join in and start buying after the $1000 is broken, right now they are still afraid Cheesy

Bitcoin and people panic selling somehow are closely connected. Reasons being that they either invest with money they can't afford to miss in their personal life, or they simply invest with borrowed money. In both cases people already feel uncomfortable when looking at how volatile the price has been. If people would only stick to investing money they actually have and don't directly need in their personal lives, then it removes a massive amount of weight off people's shoulders. It allows them to trade more comfortably, allows them to (in most cases) avoid making irrational decisions, etc. That's why I am glad the major Chinese exchanges have kissed their margin activities goodbye.

Some altcoins were just made to steal bitcoin from newbies or people that saw ico as an way to make easy money with the pump and dump of those shitty coins, those nowadays is harder and well people are avoiding in the general those shitty coins and just some whales does bump the coin trying to bring new players inside soo they can dump their coins.

Not just some altcoins where made to steal precious BTC from unexperienced noobs! Most of the alts were launched only for this reason!!
A handful of alts may play a significant role in the future. However this doesn't mean they will be worth a lot. This just means they will continue to exist on a releveant level while the rest will be completely irrelevant and be forgotten.

Panic selling will always happen as the temptation of higher price and people don't wanna miss it to make profits if others start to sell out which affects the market price. We will see it as soon as the price hit $1000 level, but depends on how much trading volume in your local exchanges as in my place, the price is lower than the average exchanges rate outside such as Okcoin, coinbase, Itbit, coindesk, bitstamp, etc.

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

well that's expected that there will be someone who will make a huge dump and also there will be some people who do the same as we all know most people who are holding their bitcoins are usually aiming to get profit after a long hold . panic selling is normally happened nowadays and there will be a huge effect if there are a huge number people who will make a dump .

Agree with you since panic selling will surely happen no matter what because there are noobs out there that will surely sell off their coins believing that they could able to cut their further loss on sudden price dump of bitcoin without even knowing that they could able to wait to rise up again its price.

I agree. I only sell my coins when I'm in desperate need of money. Fortunately since I usually sell not more than $20 worth of Bitcoin when the price rises afterwards I'm not feeling too bad about what I lost due to selling at lower price.

As the price increase has been taking place several users could be in panic without knowing the reason behind the current increase. Possibly its better to hold as quoted to get more profit. Panic sellers too get a good profit as the price variation is experienced about more than $50.

It is not really panic selling, when you are dealing with over ten or twenty btc then that is a huge amount of money so a simple dump might lead those people to sell as well to avoid unnecessary loss. Imagine if you lose $10 times 20 btc thats silly $200 . It may not mean much to americans however for those that dont use dollar or euro, it is a huge amount of money

As to me, this is not a good way to compare things

Indeed, in developing countries 200 dollars can mean a lot and make all the difference (e.g. between the poor and not so poor), but you don't take into account that even in such countries there are quite a few folks which are better off than the rest of the population. And for them $200 is not a big deal either. In other words, if you have 20 BTC in your stash, you are obviously not very bad overall (otherwise you wouldn't have so much), and $200 for you are the same $200 dollars as for almost anyone who has 20 bitcoins

I don't think it will happen panic selling cause of the current price for bitcoin. Just a few hours ago I saw it again hit 1000$. It happen on the new year. But there wasn't any panic selling, cause of the most people were calm and people expected bitcoin to rise even higher. I think this time it's gonna be repeated.

You would get a clearer answer if you specify the amount of bitcoin which are going to be sold. "Huge" can be anywhere from 1000BTC to 1MBTC. The former won't even move the market while the latter will likely result in a substantial drop on the price.

I agree. In addition, the volume of the market at the dump time is also so important. The buy reflex of the buyers is another parameter which can influence the fall. Another parameter is the power of second and third sell wave. I hope this situation will never happen.

still when there is a new investor coming and they bought a lot bitcoin.
but then they feel not satisfy and underpressure when the price dropped a little , you think what they will do?
as a newcomer they will just do panic selling whenever the price dropped , as they play with a lot of money, that's what i think.

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

Well that would require the "somebody" to own at least 100 000 btc or even higher to accomplish that price manipulation of yours . If that happens the price will decrease greatly as there is a noticeable amount of bitcoin that has been dumped . In case like this it is the best to go with the flow and buy more bitcoin . If its about panic sellers, I highly doubt that they will be able to make an effect on bitcoins price as most newbie in bitcoin only owns a small portion on the other hand the others who have enough knowledge owns huge amounts .
