I think $4000 for each bitcoin is to much, even the price reach $1000 after halving, i'm also happy for that. Don't speculate to much, better we speculate is the price going down when the hype of halving is done ?

back then only few people knew about bitcoin. the price surge to $1000 invited a lot of new users and because of that the price stayed above $200. it might be different this time around.

Halving is not completed yet..To my knowledge it is in a month..We are rising up and up before the halving so just imagine the price rise after halving.Be positive and enjoy the halving rally..

No last halving price climbed from ~$11 to $276 at peak and then corrected down to $100+.
So it was an 10x increase you can say.
Another 10x this havling is not very likely as much more new fresh money will be needed to achieve those high levels.
I'm hoping for doubled price of the actual one until the end of the year.That would be a huge success imo.Everything more than that I will welcome of course!

It doesn't even come up in my mind to think about $1000 prices right now, let alone $4000!! $4000 is a target for after the year 2020 and definitely not before it.

And then wait for 20 years before it will go that price,  and besides bitcoin is worth waiting for,and you will not have any problem waiting for it. We might welcome back 600$  tomorrow.

There are a few possibilities, but I don't think we will pass 1000$ soon - IMO we will get to 800$ and then go back to 650-700 range. Anything is possible tho - I think if we pass ~650$ - 700$ the media will start to talk again and that will bring more people who may bump a little more the price, but don't forget that the bubble will pop at some moment - maybe 1-2 months after the halving. Remember all those people who bought at 1000-1200 range back in 2013? Well if we get close to 1000$ they will probably sell everything and many more will sell with them because of the panic going down again to 200$-300$. The pump has already started and only the big fishes may know how high it may go.

$4k is a very conservative prediction. BTC, as “Immortal Deflationary”, presents the first real challenge to the established, “Coordinated Inflationary” currencies. So, any analysis and/or predictions would be useless for this reason. Yes sky is the limit unless group of governments decide to kill it via interventions and regulations.

4k i think is too much even as a peak is too much, i think 1k+ is reasonable, then you want to consider stable price , this is more important than what bitcoin might reach imho

Keep dreaming! Why not first let the price reach $1000 before speculating about insanely high price points?

The speculation around the halving has made the price increase quite a bit but that doesn't mean it will keep going up.

I expect the price to reach its highest point somewhere around $600 maybe $650 but not much higher than that.

no you are wrong with your calculation, because price today is 600$, and not 200$, and also, price won't grow 20 times, because now are different year than 2012 and more people use bitcoins

i think, and others do, that price will rise up to 1200$, not more but maybe less, to 1000$ for example, and this might be correct, but not 4000$ for sure as this would be too mcuh

i don't think it can get there this year. so it can even take until late 2017 to reach $4000 if everything goes right.
