Giving up gambling is not easy

There are a million different opinions about how/why and where to practice recovery and maintain abstinence. Its clear to me now that the addict is great at giving advice to other people but less on applying it to him or herself. You need to realize that your giving up has to be about you and willing and dedicated to achieve from the bottom of your heart. We all know it;s not easy on giving up unless you take the first step.

My friend was hospitalised because his gambling addiction unfortunately it happened after he lost all money he has and end up in big debts. It is very hard to cure when you are addicted to something not only gambling.

I dont think so, but i if really want to give it up you can easily givi it up but if you think you cant do it then do a way to to giving up you can do it slowly.

Hi guys and girls! After making quite a lot of money then losing it and crying about it half the afternoon I have decided to give up gambling for good.  Its not for me in have a much too addictive personality. So now I just plan to work for casinos but not gamble.

The thing is you know you should cash out but you always want just that little bit more and then u lose the whole lot. I'm stupid and greedy. Right after I lost i put more in and doubled it then I went all in and lost it. So yes u can make a killing gambling with such a small about like a few dollars but then u lose all u make and waste a lot of time and energy and end up getting upset. Also i shake like mad when I gamble and I hate that. I tremble. When I lose I can't believe what the screen is telling me.

So any thoughts ? Ways to stop ? Ways to gamble with play money ? Maybe there are dust gambling casinoes I can use? U know just for fun and for the fix.

Giving up gambling is not easy. Because before l was a gambler. My father is a gambling master that's why we all his family a gamblers also. So when we both my husband get addicted to gambling we used to have so many debts until lm hiding to all those people whose looking at me for my payment.  That time l can't sleep l cry everytime. I tried many times to quit gambling because our life is getting worst because lm always a loser. But when l have no where to run l decide to give up gambling. It's the time l need to go back to God because l used to be a backslider so that my life became worst. That's the time l realize  that lm lost as a son of God. That  ends that l am separated wIt's my husband. Im so weak l don't think l can stand l lost everything. I think it's no where to run. I was about to commit suicide but everytime l cry l think about my kids, how can they live without me. That's the time l really decide not to go back in gambling.

Most of the gamblers including me giving up gambling but physiologically getting sick of it. Once getting the salary I am not controlling myself just looking for excuses only not to escape. I suffered a lot on this habit now I make the strategy once I get the salary 90% I transfer the money to my wife account and I come out with 10% and like this my expense / investment in gambling is restricted not stopped.

Sometimes it's hard to break the chain, its tough to quit gambling if our closes people/society is gambling too because if we want to stop gambling for good, we need internal factor and external factor to help us. We need to think outside the box to be able to make my life better, don't look back too far to our past make it experience to build our future life better.

it will always been you who can decide to stop from gambling since you are your mind's boss. if there is a will there will always be a way, right? think of your family's future if you have one. and working in casino will not help you to quit. on the other hand it will tempt you to play over and over again.

A lot of people are already succumbed to the fact of gambling and they would be hard to regularized again because they always think of gambling. Whenever they get money, they gamble. Even with their current situation where they lost all their money, and still thinks of gambling. It's all about mind set.

actually it's always on everyone plan , to spend only a little amount of your total income and hoping for the luck come to you. but things in gambling always so wild , you might think a good way to keep you in the line before the game started but everything turned around drastically when you are in the game , it's feel like you have no choice , just keep playing like a zombie although you want to give up.

It is easy if you want to do it but it is not if you have slight conflict of interest of not doing it. If you really want to quit then go ahead and quit. Never look back anymore because if there is a slight way for you to look back and you did, then Im sure you will be back to gamble again. Exactly, fighting addiction is a conscious effort and must come from both the addicted person and those trying to help him out if one party fails then the whole process is likely to fail and so we need the maximum cooperation of the addicted person before you can implement plans in helping him quit.

If a man gets truly determine about doing something then nothing in this world can stop him from doing that. Similarly, giving up gambling is not a real difficult thing or at least not impossible to do. A gambler can get help from his close ones or consult a doctor. He must control his emotions and feelings, Drive to think about his future and those ones which are connected to him.

Hire a professional see a psicologic, I know and I seen storys about people losing everything, people who would gamble their family
if they have any worth at all for strangers... there'r storys of people losing their wifes at gambling in texas back in the days.
Get away of it, unless you profit, if it's making your life worse, READ learn to trade, invest in coins and always remember ONE RULE
Don't gamble more than what you can afford to lose.

That's right, but sometimes we can gamble more than we can afford to lose especially if we are losing control.
It's really hard to gamble again when you are already addicted as time will come you will again do the same mistakes which will cost you big amount of money.
