I did see a post somewhere from Lasergun (I think) about closing swap for new coins but allowing those with untouched old coins to swap after the deadline. I could support that. Not the same as checking for dead accounts but if I understand correctly there is a record of when coins are moved/created. If that was an option I would say have a deadline for late swap too.
You are right: As an exception, I will let the people to swap after the January, 2017, if their old coins were not touched after the block #1990382 and we will have remaining the new coins.
But this will be possible only if somebody will still support the old chain (2 nodes + mining).

I can be a node for the old chain as well. My old wallet is synced and running. I also mine it on my private pool. So I can support the old network for a short time if needed.

Where can I send 42 coin from Cryptopia? I also am on Mac OSX
You can send your coins direct to the burn address and will receive back a private key from the address with the new coins. You will be able to import this key to the wallet some later when the Mac wallet will be available. Lasergun, I have just sent to the Burn address, But I just checked on Cryptopia that they have no connections. Is it too late?

Any way to get 42 on Poloniex? Before the lead developer left- 42 was trading for 100 BTC per 42. If it gets on a major exchange and it's own website maybe we'll see those prices again.
One of their "must have" - is a website...

maybe mixed feelings... the faster the better for the new coin to the market . less resources to support the old chain. or maybe theyre confused about two wallets. ?? idk. i did vote and screwed up.
a change in subject, I got my old gridseeds to work again and they have found blocks. lol, i though they would just collect dust. if you have such hardware you can solo mine with them to your 42 coin wallet !!
update: mining scrypt for the old chain and new chain is some what possible but bigger hashs are king and i just recently tested the gridseeds on the new chain..

Nobody in their right mind will agree to list it on polo since its a snip, null, penetrated to death shit which isnt worth a buck, and nothing can be done about it coz there is no way u can rectify something that has been broken for decades.

Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. There are a lot of coins there that technically not better than the current 42. So, never cackle till your egg is laid.
