New wallet on a modern codebase is almost finished, but its availability will depend on the voting results.

Cryptopia is the only exchange where 42 is listed at the moment,
their vote would be the most important one,

Lol 42 coin.. what's the purpose of reviving obsolete tech?  It's like your trying to sell me an apple computer from the 90s. Fortunate for me, the newer apples are cheaper and 10000X better... IDK, maybe I'm missing something here

This is a well known problem with all 42 clients (included the latest v. 8.0.0, compiled by soopy452000). It is appear when your client established connections with clients from alien chains ("subver" : Satoshi:0.6.3, Satoshi:0.8.5, DigitalcoinV3.0:3.0.1, WorldcoinFoundation:0.8.6.2...), you can avoid such problem by blocking  their ports (9538, 9556, 9065, 9336, 9333, 7999, 11081, 28753, 9526, 19904, 9771). Will be fixed in client on a new codebase.

I had the same problem with LiteBar. I changed the subver to LiteBar(plus versoin info) and added to code to check incoming clients, and drop them if they didn't have 'LiteBar' in their subver.
The only drawback is that older LiteBar clients get dropped also - but it was a mandatory update

and i need to post this                42 forever!!!             forked, or not..   42 coins or not...   aint easy to mine and its very predictable ..nothing fancy ...  even with more then 42 coins that been mined..  its 42coin in trust that makes it survives!!

This still the same wallet on old codebase/blockchain.
The community still vote for a new wallet on a new blockchain with the new features and limited supply in 42 coins.

i also compiled (copied and modified) my own version of a 42coin wallet a year ago to include the fix of the transaction fee hack .001 vs .00000001 .. .001 was like 21 usa dollars at one time!!  for a transaction fee to be high but it slip through a few hack wallets...??  . i had issues to integrate the newer versions of openssl and i end up stumbling upon the swing coin ..  im not a developer and i just copy and pasted the 42 code into the swing coin wallet and end up with my version of 42coin with sha256 mining and pos ..  ii knew it was just for my learnings and had the 42coin heart and cryptsy ended up dead as my version of 42coin for the future died with it..  the original 42coin wallet from the original developer states that this coin is a mix of this coin and a dash of that coin.. . anonymous transactions is possible and the fastest transactions was its strong point.  like 42 seconds transaction times  was the pos versions i played with..   again i was just wanted to see the coin and wallet alive in my 42 world..   42coin in trust!!!
