Replacing bitcoin by another cryptocurrency totally depends on the features that offers this new crypto . For instance bitcoin lacks a lot of things in my point of view such as rapidity in transfers and incomplete "anonymity" . So if this new currency is able to step up the game and provide innovative features that impresses the potential users , and also being able to achieve such great success and growth rates as bitcoin previously did , i won't think that it will be hard for it to rise . The crypto world isn't ruled by a monopoly such as bitcoin like in the previous years , competition is tough now between cryptos and whoever satisfies more people will certainly be the most successful .

I think that BTC will remain its "gold standard" status amongst cryptocurrencies. In the future we will see more crypto adoption, meaning we will see more payments accepted via LTC, ETH, XMR and other cryptos which will be huge.

I just want to say one thing about this topic. Are the developers and miners are afraid of the fall of bitcoin ?
If they are thinking positive and the people give them also a positive response, then why they ask the people about the future of bitcoin. I am just a common user of bitcoin and I have no doubt about the future of bitcoin. It is the digital currency of today and will remain number one in the future too.

It's possible but honestly I think that Bitcoin can deal with it's shortcomings and sort them out through forks or hard forks. We've gone through a few already now and it hasn't hurt the value of Bitcoin so I still believe that this is the solution.

Indeed diversity is a solution. For example even though I dont think Bitcoin Cash going to be more valued than Bitcoin, its nice some people trying to solve the scalling problem from different angle.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
I think bitcoin will not be replaced by another cryptocurrency , it is so impossible because bitcoin is more uses than the other Cryptocurrency but if the cryptocurrency have new feature, new project or profitable than bitcoin i think that the reason to replaced by another cryptocurrency. But I think there's no crypto currency can greater than bitcoin cause bitcoin is profitable than other cryptocurrency.

The current market cap of bitcoin is more than 120 billion or reaches 55% of the total of all cryptocurrencies, nearing bitcoin is Ethereum which reaches 27%, so there is an opportunity to replace bitcoin with another coin.

I think it's not going to happen that bitcoins are broadly inaccessible to those who invest money here and still have the good development that is happening so that those beliefs are less likely

Bitcoin will be replaced by another crypto maybe one day it will happen by some kind of advanced digital money system maybe I'm sure of it. But chances are we will not see this change during our lifetime. because I hope that your little one can live and kick at least 40 or 50 years ahead I'm worried about the potential bitcoin replacement that can be seen as BTC 2.0 is funny and stupid

I think so, this is possible , we can say that like bitcoin who shocking sprout nowhere and make its name lead to popularity, someday or maybe there would be an another cryptocurrency that might erase bitcoin from leading and attract people more than it could is possible, if there would be greater than Satoshi when it comes to cryptocurrency.

The price of Bitcoin did not affect by the price of other cryptocurrencies, it just be stable and wait to increases again.

There is a possibility that bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency. Thus, there is a big chance that this will be repalced by another cryptocurrency since its being manipulated by people also. I'm not saying this is impossibe and maybe some even more perfect cryptocurrency will appear but not in the near future. And bitcoin become in demand because of users who brought bitcoin into the world. But so far there is no cryptocurrency who could take Bitcoins place.

it will never happen to me. because bitcoin comes first and the other coins are just altcoins. if any crypto coins match the bitcoin then everything will start from zero again.

I think "Nothing is impossible" , but i also think there are no crytocurrency which can replaced for Bitcoin.
but now a days Swap, ETH etc doing good job..
may be in jan 2016 i first heard about bitcoin when btc price was only $600 but just 1.9 year later it almost $7,000 (7k)
so btc always rock.. day by day lots of people learn about cryptocurrency and they fall love with BTC.

It can happen, but I doubt it. Actually, until now Bitcoin is still the highest among other cryptoes, this is evident from the price increase, and this proves that Bitcoin has many users, so its value is high. and I think it will last.

Bitcoin is currently the biggest, but it is unclear if something will replace it in the future. My personal favorite is Ethereum, but I do not know if it will be strong enough to replace BTC in the first place.

bitcoin may be replaced that can happen in the future but it will take a very long time for Altcoins to reach to Bitcoin's price.
While I do not think that bitcoin can be replace by another cryptocurrency I think that if it were to happen it is not going to be a slow process, the new coin will need to be so innovative that it needs to be a no brainier, so in that scenario people are going to realize the advantages of the new coin and adopt it immediately but as I have said if that does not happen soon then it may never happen since bitcoin is slowly gaining strength and very soon it will be so strong that no other crypto will be able to defeat it.

It seems Ethereum can't overpass in this year, the price of Bitcoin has pumped to $7,000 and with this current price, the profits for trading Bitcoin better than Ethereum. You can the volatility of Bitcoin interesting than the Ethereum.
