bitcoin is successful because it is popular and is being accepted worldwide. It has achieved status of digital currency unofficially by having legislative support in many countries. There is no other alternative currency at the moment having this kind of popularity and trust among people at universal level. I don't see any chance for any other at least for near future to be able to replace Bitcoin.

In the near future it will be replaced by another cryptocurrency and I hope it will be soon, bitcoin fees are too expensive nowadays and the transaction is very slow, it is better if bitcoin was not the main (crypto)currency.

At this moment any coin can't replace bitcoin from his throne, but if Bitcoin is not going to decrease price of fee it can be very soon.

Bitcoin is the giant in the cryptocurrency and others follows. The blockchain platform for bitcoin is the reason why bitcoin is making it well and thrive well. Due to the fact that it's the first, it has capacity to remain at the top because of some reasons; it's a transparent transaction, cut across countries of the world, other coins may not stand the test of time, they maybe meant for other purposes.

if replaced it is impossible in my opinion, Bitcoin is only 21 million pieces of coins,
but Bitcoin will continue to dominate the cryptocurrency, because Bitcoin is the first coin and the pioneer of cryptocurrency...

Bitcoin is the father and the price of altcoins depends on the success of bitcoin.
You can already tell by the name itself, they are alternative currency so the original should always be the most progressive.

Highly unlikely, unless something critical happens and bitcoin gets basically wrecked to a point where nobody would be interested in it due to it being either a dangerous or outward unprofitable investment. That's of course a doomsday scenario, but if it happened, an altcoin could possibly take it's place, if it was possible.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

BTC charge $20 for a transaction fee and it is getting higher.

The only thing shocking is that everyone has not already switched to one with reasonable fees and fast transactions.

The possibility is high but all the more exciting because of how many ventures everyone can take. As for me, I'd never doubt bitcoins but eventually, bitcoins won't be king forever so I'm milking the hell out of bitcoins now.

That's right, Bitcoin is the mother of all coins and it seems a strange thing if bitcoin becomes altcoin.  Cheesy

I dont think they can replace bitcoin because it is very unstoppable now. But if they create a unique one or more better.

Things can happen, lots of coins and projects of course aiming to be number one instead of number two or below bitcoin, currently the most likely to replace bitcoin is BCH or ETH, if many negative issues continue to happen with bitcoin it is not likely to happen soon.

it's not impossible to happen. We all know that bitcoin has the greatest value in all cryptocurrency, But there is a kind of digital coins that goes ahead of the alt coins, it is Etherium. Eth's value gradually rises like bitcoin then. And I believe that Eth can match the value of Btc someday.

I think Bitcoin has really placed itself in the drivers seat within crypto. But there are now limitations for Bitcoin and there have been some real comptetiors emerging in the market place. One for example is Ethereum which now is able to transfer secure data through Blockchain. I feel many health companies will start to invest within this area.

I think not, because no coin will be this much supported in this market. Everyone knows about bitcoin and if a new coin will rise up many people would still be loyal to bitcoin like me.

So its very hard to a altcoin to take bitcoins place in my opinion.

Not now, but later: yes, of course. It will be replaced by another currency, because of further developed technology.
Bitcoin is not made for massadaption. To slowly, to less transactions per second.
Maybe it will forever be there for savings - hopefully with not much volatility. Otherwise its even questionable if people are using it for savings.

If bitcoin will go down altcoins will also go down and most of the time altcoins follow the movement of bitcoin.
The price of bitcoin will rise and that is for sure but we cannot expect it will be replace by an altcoins, let's just say altcoins have a limit and will not be more popular than bitcoin itself.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
In year 2010 when i first  known about bitcoin, i believe that bitcoin has a very nice future and today we all know how much price in usd for 1 btc compare to 2010, bitcoin more popular followed by many altcoins from shit coin to the real valuable altcoin like litecoin, ethereum, dash and others.
but in my opinion altcoin never replace bitcoin the reason is that there is  always has to be a main cryptocurrency as a comparison to other alternative criptocurrencies.
