I would much rather receive my payments in Bitcoin as it makes my life a whole lot simpler. I have been working with conventional banking systems for a number of my ventures and the amount of time it takes to get the tiniest things done is nerve wrecking. The convenience and speed of the blockchain is unravelled when it comes to global economies interacting with each other. If anything, the financial system is a good example of how systems thrive in the absence of a government intervening at every step.

If you start accepting salary in bitcon then how would you react if you see lower price on pay day? What will you do if you need money desperately? Will you wait for the right time to sell them or will your prefer to sell them for loss?
LOL yeah it looks like it is time and a very difficult moment, I was also confused when you run out of money and needed money right then and there but the prices are still very low bitcoin or going down? maybe I would do is to borrow money. bitcoin last option is to sell at a low price?

Yeah I'm definitely a bitcoin lover, and I would probably take 10% or so in my paycheck, but not more than that.  And the reason why has been mentioned, which is mostly the instability in price.  Then there's also the fact that you can't buy a lot of things with it (yet).  But as sort of like a retirement fund thing, yes.  I'd be down with that.

If the original Backside walkaround can prove to me they are the old owner of this account, I can update the email address to the email address of their choosing.
Backside walkaround has lost access to their account as they used someone else's email address to sign up, and the owner of the email address got tired of random email notifications from this site after a few months and reset the password.

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.
The fact that still need to be real paper money. And if the entire salary getting into bitcoin, you have to sell the coin. Therefore, better 50 to 50

That is a good choice but I still feel that we will need fiat more to take care of our expenses so it would be better if we go for 70/30 ratio, and 30% can be a good savings for future.

I do think that there is another thread about this although I would like to receive some money in BTC. I just hope that more physical stores would accept bitcoin so that I don't have to load a debit card with bitcoins since I have to pay fees.

We can afford to accept salary in bitcoins only if we have enough places to spend them directly or else there will be no use in getting paid in bitcoins as every time we need to convert them to fiat to spend them.

if there's an opportunity, why not? Because this is the example for the improvement and how great the bitcoin help the country. But it will take a long time for that. Maybe soon, if the bitcoin is stable.
i have heard this is already a reality with https://www.bitwage.com/ haven't tired them but i think few companies are already paying their remote employ via this in bitcoin.
I think it is no wonder that companies or sites related to bitcoin give salaries to their employees using bitcoin. because they do business with bitcoin, I would be amazed if their company is not related to bitcoin but they pay their employees using bitcoin

Exactly and  we can expect that only IT companies will prefer to pay their employees in bitcoins but we cannot expect that all companies will follow the same procedure.
Not really because if businesses will be fully educated on bitcoin they will surely use this as a payment method because it can give benefits to them to make the work faster, and if they have more employees in different part of the world it could be helpful to them.

I think so too. If bitcoin becomes a bit stable, the first one to adopt bitcoin as payment for salary would be international companies outsourcing their work. They can save a lot if they pay their employees in bitcoin. Others will follow as well. But that can only happen if bitcoin becomes a little bit more stable.

I don't think that bitcoins will ever become stable in future and price volatility will always be a part of bitcoin ecosystem and it will long time for companies to start paying their employees in bitcoins.

That's the truth, Bitcoin can disapear in the future, but for now it's not a bad idea get your salary in Bitcoin since you have a lot of options to invest with the coin and you will pay less taxes and you can be your own bank.

Good poin of view. Tech is moving fast with crypto, we don't know what will happen to bitcoin in future. Sure, bitcoin code need to be adjust and developed more. It's really old. Like change block size.

But have you thought about the risk that it can take. You can lose one month of a salary if ever a big fall happen. If it doesnt go so down it will be a big lost.

Tech is moving fast, we doesn't know if bitcoin will survive as main crypto let's say within next 10-15 years. there are a lot of alt already with better code and development and more have to come. We need to wait some more years....

Well but if this is going to be applied to my salary I won't agree to that easily because there are still few stores that are accepting bitcoins especially in local places. And besides that is going to be a risky thing, for me it is still better if you are going to treat bitcoin as investments but don't let your salary to be converted to bitcoin already.

Yeah can't afford to accept salary in bitcoins at a moment, price is not stable and to spend them every time we need to convert them to fiat currency for making purchases.

But nowadays it is much possible to buy anything with bitcoin and we can easily pay our bills with bitcoin with the available offers on this forum by different companies so it is not compulsory that we convert our money to fiat.

I don't know what bills you are paying but mine i can't pay with bitcoin. So I'd hate to have to convert back everytime. I'd rather receive in fiat and convert what I can to bitcoin.

Indeed but I would love to receive bitcoin in salary though still. It's a big risk I take but can potentially earn you tons of money if all happens right so I think I would take this risk.

Theres no guarantee though that you would make  huge profits  on bitcoin since we  dont know what would be the price in the future. If you intend to  accept your salary in bitcoin form then the  price  goes down then you effort and all  of your hardwork would   be useless . Well, its might  happen or not.

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.

It's depend on the situation though. If the price of bitcoin keep increase like today, yes i like to received my salary in bitcoin, but not for long term. Only for short term and when the bitcoin's price goes down i won't in bitcoin.
Do you really think allot of people wants this as their salary i dont think so becuase i know for sure that allot of people dont want to accept bitcoins as salary for sure!

If we make a survey, I think Yes everyone does not agree if their salaries are paid with bitcoin. many of the risks and disadvantages. But if the price of the bitcoin stable and are at a high price. I'm sure everyone will not be a problem if their salaries are paid with bitcoin, including me.

I think so, maybe half of my salary i can consider that since sometimes im buying btc using fiat, so it would be fine if i receive the half of it only in btc. i still need cash for my daily expenses but receiving my salary in btc is not a bad idea though.
