Well, I hope there are more SIS miners to keep the chain moving because I just burned out my last ASIC.

Proof of stake augments Proof of work to secure the chain and keep it moving.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

In case anyone is wondering where the BRX market is on Bittrex, we are waiting for Bittrex on this one. We have been on standby to attend any needs they have in opening the market. As Bittrex has mentioned elsewhere, they have their hands full with ETH/ETC.

will see the market with BRK and BRX.

Breakout GARBAGE! How the hell can you participate in an ICO and then when the coin comes out loses half it's value? I'm just waiting to get my money back and then i'm dumping this shit coin.I completely lost faith in ICO's from now on thx to breakout garbage. It's like i participate in a kickstarter project and buy lets say a bicycle and i pay 200$ for the bike and when the bike comes out on the launch, they sell the bike for 100$. WTF is that?I participated in Lisk ICO and made over 5x my money. Now THAT'S a successful launch not a piece of shit dumping coin like breakout.I don't care losing my 2 BTC just to see this stupid coin fail.Fuck'n scammers. In general i'm a passive person but now,i have to express my frustration against this SHIT coin.I took in consideration the magnitude of this project and figured that i can't go wrong with the people behind this but i guess i was wrong! FAIL BIG TIME.

Welcome to crypto Grin Cool
Looks like you are learning an important lesson about ico sales. Sometimes the project is good for a quick flip like lisk. Others require more patience for a big profit (ethereum, steemit). The trick is to know what to look for and do your due diligence and if you see something worth believing in then drink some of that koolaid and hang tight for a year or so. Some crypto takes patience. I think Breakout is on the right track to go huge, I invested in the first sale two years ago and thought they were done. Then they came back as they said with the second sale (also as they initially said) and are implementing working verticals far beyond what they had first said they would do. Two are already working and they on schedule.
Bottom line, I'm an outside skeptic investor who has waited two years from initial investment and Breakout has kept every promise and stuck to every timeline they have made for themselves.
That sort of integrity as well as seeing actual development happen (on schedule wtf that's nuts!) goes a long way towards making me believe this project will grow legs within a year. That's my koolaid.

Alternatively they could be piss poor scammers. Who puts this much effort into gaining so little ico btc over two years? I mean look what waves did with one guy and good timing/promotion. Not saying waves is a scam, just an example.

Absolutely. Only reason I'm not mining is because I couldn't get it working for solo mining. I'd already be mining otherwise.

With kickstarters too.

We haven't even received our BRX yet. Why so worried? Were you expecting to double your money in a day? Well, that's a risk you take. If you couldn't afford to invest you shouldn't have.

If you have it running and you are showing hashrates just be patient you will hit a block. When I started mining I was getting 2-3 blocks an hour but before my rig died I was only getting 5-6 blocks a day.

Very well done. I think that this was again one of those coins where thay start with big words about profit etc. And whan it comes out, boom all falls down. Sad I invested here and not in other project which is totaly different and people have profit already. Ok lesson learned for next time.

You should know that any ICO that trade right after ending has no chance to survive dumping. All day 1 investor will dump for a quick 15-25% profit then the other will follow.

Yip. Clearly the dev of Breakout hasn't played much poker Smiley

You wait at least a month to begin trading so that enough new people hear about and like the project but having missed the ICO want to buy at launch. You are then also a month further ahead on development in general & it helps if you time a significant development milestone to be released right around launch too. From this momentum you can start to gain some speculative traction and as you gain value you become noticed by more & larger investors.

The project and dev seems exciting and solid so I think it will gain steady value over time though. Tortoise and hare type thing.

I don't understand that market....who would buy BRX at the ICO price of 0.0006667 BTC and sell 1646 BRX  at 0.00000040 BTC?  That is an enormous loss.  For that matter who would sell for any less than the purchase price?  I knew I should have waited for the market to open to make my purchase instead buying at the ICO at the last minute.  I guess I'm a HODLER now....getting my stake on I guess.  I never intended to sell anyway....just wish I'd have waited so that I could've gotten more bang for my dollar.  Price went the opposite way of my reasoning....AGAIN!  Always opposite--no matter how hard I reason the possible outcomes through.

So, trading will be opened up within three days.  However, I'm not selling any so good luck getting some if you missed out....the rest are being burned which is going to increase the staking probability so mine are for staking purposes only.   Tongue

Here's a quote from the Bittrex website for those who haven't read it:

"Once the crowdfund is over, Bittrex will verify there is a working wallet, blockchain, and block explorer. Within 3 days of the crowdfund ending Bittrex will release the funds raised to the Breakout development team and open the market for trading."

citation: https://bittrex.com/crowdfund/BRX

You can still buy BRX directly from Bittrex? That is strange that the Crowdfund price is 2.23$ a coin while before they closed the trading, market price was 0.006 or 4.43$, I don't know what is going on with this coin  Huh

The market hasn't even been open for trading yet....It will open within three days (less than three days now) as the quote from their cite mentions above.  I don't understand your numbers so I don't know how to respond to them.  When the sale ended no more were sold and the price closed where it started.  The BRX not sold will be burned.

My bad then. i got confused because the link here: https://bittrex.com/crowdfund/BRX was still valid at the time of my post, so i did not understand why it was selling as an ico and selling on market at same time. Now it seems officially closed.
