I know this is unfair and unrealistic but what are your guesses for the FMV of STRAT in 1-to-3 years? I'm new to crypto and bought 1K of STRAT based upon all of the input I've read on this forum (thanks so much) so I'm just curious to know differing opinions.
Disclaimer: yes, I know no one can predict tomorrow but I'm interested in the forums thoughts nonetheless. Happy Trading!
Answer to that question is worth a nobel prize, as you may have guessed already. In traditional economy (stock markets and such) people often wonder the very same - or similar - questions. There has been literally numerous studies, for example to find out, why sometimes markets fall so drastically - or why markets sometimes take a huge upturn all of a sudden. Studies of such questions has given birth to such spinoffs as 'Behavioural market analysis' which tries to (in essence) take human behaviour as a measurable factor into equation. It's pretty much like, how human behaviour affects stock prices, and how big of a role it plays in it. Problem is, that since human behaviour is not directly measurable in reasonable units, the effect (or role in it) tends to be a 'guesstimate'. And that really doesn't help much - in fact it just makes things more obscure. Typical example of it is the explanation (when prices fall) that 'it was due to market psychology'. Of course the same explanation works as well, when the prices take the sudden upturn. It's just a label - dignifying pure ignorance. It's like saying 'my daughter behaves like she does, because she's a teenager' It doesn't give anybody any extra information. That label has no value, because it doesn't give anybody any guidance how to act in that case.
But what you are asking, is the prediction of strat price in about 1-3 years. That's a bit different, but not entirely. There's in fact something called a "wisdom of the crowd". It works like this; Let's say you have a big glass jar full of candies. You ask 'how many candies you think there is in this glass jar' from many, many individuals - separately. Obviously answers are all over the place - but the mind blowing fact is, that when you take the average of the answers - it's almost exactly right. None of the individuals get it exactly right, but as a crowd, they are very, very close. That's the 'wisdom of the crowd' effect in essence.
Problem is, that you have to get a private answer from each and every one of us. If you ask publicly (like here in the forums) my answer is going to affect the other people. And their answers are affecting the others, and so on. And that leads to the exactly opposite effect - which is known as 'fallacy of the crowd'. Our answers are going to take a certain course, and average of that is heavily biased - therefore useless.
But If you really want to know my opinion - well, I think Stratis is going to be double digits by the end of this year - and triple digits next.
For what my public opinion is worth
EDIT: On the other hand, if you're smart enough, you already knew that asking us Stratis fanboys here gives you a biased answer. But, then you go to the next forum (whatever that might be), and ask their opinion. And then the next, and the next, and so on. After you have gathered all the data from different forums, you take the average (of the average forum answers). And that very well might be closer to the truth, indeed.
Problem is, that when you have finally done all the queries and all the maths, it's too late - the price of strat has risen to the moon
To t' moon, I tell ya
Just kidding, mate
In honest, I stand by my previous estimation of progression of the Stratis price.
