There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I actually sold the site awhile ago (which is why I haven't been active).  However, the site needs help.

To that - I contacted the current owner and will whip this back into shape ASAP!!!

Just a quick reminder: I have converted cryptocoinexplorer to CCE3 (All but three coins -  see the home page) and the API is not the same as ABE based explorers.

Please add Capital Coin (CPTL)

CapitalCoin | 0% PreMine | Scrypt PoS | Already On bittrex Exchange

For the PoW Stage the coin algorithm utilizes Moore's law which accurately predicts the growth of computational power.

ORB, PXC and FTC are way behind their actual block counts and their difficulties are also incorrect.

You should correct Sexcoin, because its wrong.
It´s shown with 100 per block, but its 50 per block. So the profitability is only the half....

I don't get it.

I use MultiMiner, which defaults to CoinChoose.  Of the SHA-256 algos, CoinChoose says that both UNO and ZET are more profitable to mine than BTC.  On WhatToMine.com and CoinWarz.com, the most profitable is BTC -- by quite a good bit!

So is CoinChoose just way off the mark now that it's been sold off to someone who presumably doesn't care?  Or are all these sites suspect in their "profitability" strategies?

MultiMiner only allows you to choose between CoinChoose and CoinWarz.  For the moment, I have just switched it to using CoinWarz, and thus from mining Unobtanium (which I actually really like as a coin for a number of reasons) back to Bitcoin.

What am I missing, if anything?

I do not think coinchoose is actually a very good place to go for profitability anymore. I just had quick look at things and the top 7 items on the main page (I did not bother to look farther) are all wildly incorrect and have been for at least a few weeks now.

If all of the first 7 items are wrong, what are the chances that the rest are right?
